BB&B
I read this on another board and I thought it would be okay if I posted the idea here. The "A Show of Hands" VHS is no longer available at the Rush Backstage Club. It is possible that they decided to stop selling the "A Show of Hands" VHS because they want to make room for the "A Show of Hands" DVD. I know that is just speculation. On the other hand, the "A Show of Hands" VHS might have just gone out of print. Who knows? Just letting everyone know. I don't have much to offer to everyone. So, I post whenever I find something that might be interesting to somebody. Peace.
Drumnut
I think that's hopeful, wishful thinking but I hope you're right.

kbomb106
I'm not in any way wishing against a SoH DVD release, but since when do they stop selling VHS before selling DVD? Every movie sale commercial I ever see says "Own it today on DVD and video!" (And since when is VHS synonymous with "video?" Aren't both DVD and VHS video formats?) Distributors still want to make money on both formats. They don't want to alienate people who haven't yet joined the digital age.
neilpeart_gal
Well, this concert came out in what, the early 90s? DVD didn't exist then, so its always been on VHS. Never heard of any plans to transfer it over for whatever reason.

I think if the "A Show of Hands" DVD was created, it would include the song "Lock And Key" which is not found on the VHS. "Lock and Key" was included on the laserdisc, but that is out of print. Don't quote me on this, but a while ago on the Power Windows website there was an excerpt from an interview with Geddy that said that the Exit...Stage Left, Grace Under Pressure, and A Show of Hands videos were going to remastered by 2001. Does anyone else remember hearing/reading that?
neilpeart_gal
That does seem to ring a bell with me, too. Wonder what ever became of that?
