A few days ago was late birthday gift and Christmas all rolled into one. Mr. blues got 2 tickets for us to see Brian Wilson from the Beach Boys in Pittsburgh, playing the whole "Pet Sounds" album. It took 11 other guys with him to create the sound they had back in the studio! It was an awesome evening. If you squint at the bottom photo, you can kind of see Brian Wilson at his piano! :)

 

Chica, that's wonderful that you went to see him, and I'm glad you had a good time!

 

Edit: Had to open up the page on Chrome to see the pictures.

Me and my dog Trevor at the Grand Canyon a couple of weeks ago. it poured down a few times while we were there but were still able to take some nice pictures. Amazing place.

That is a wonderful photo, Eagle! You look really good and it's fun to see Trevor! I can't believe how pretty the canyon behind you is. So many colors are out in your photo; a lot of shades of orange and pink. Very nice.

 

Nice!.. the GC is one of several on my bucket list.

 

It's quite the religious experience. Make sure when you go that you have plenty of time to spend there. It could actually take several days to see all the views. I was actually surprised that you really don't get the feeling of being up high. Someone who was scared of heights probably wouldn't be bothered by it. Pictures just don't do it justice.

Darn it, we were going to visit my stepdaughter in Winslow this summer but plans fell through. The GC was definately on the list.

 

So isn't the GC kind of restrictive on where you can take dogs? Where was this picture taken? I'd love to take my dog, but I don't want to get hassled by the rules.

 

None of the areas where we went said anything about dogs. I went in the Visitors Center and to a lot of the overlooks. You drive around for the most part to the different areas unless you take a shuttle or join a tour. This was at the south rim along the path to the overlooks. The only places they have railings are at the actual overlooks themselves .People were climbing down to overhangs and places way out. I thought they were nuts because it had just rained.

He wasn't that impressed by the canyon but he did perk up when he saw a squirrel. :LOL:

Trying very hard. I spent the whole day with very close friends and they were really wonderful. Had both a laugh and a serious heart to heart.

 

I'm blessed with wonderful things in life. I'm trying all I can to not blind myself to my good, if undeserved, fortune.

 

Still longing to know what you look like though!

I don't mean this to lessen what you are going through, but some who are going through what you are do not have the advantages you have - family, friends, and loving support. You are fortunate in many ways.

 

What do I need to be able to post pictures? I'll look into getting it.
