Aretha Franklin did an kick ass outstanding "Star Spangled Banner" at the Lions/Vikings game today!!! She is awesome...

 

And THE LIONS WON! And are HEAD of their DIVISION! I might watch their games from now on.....

I was always the 'ARCHIVIST' in the group, recording things taking pictures etc. Now, I've moved into the totally DIGITAL realm with my new RECORDER! Today I get some of the accessories, AC adapter, SDHC card 32GB for LOTS of time to RECORD ON...I'd turn cartwheels if I didn't know it would annoy the neighbors below me...

Wow, looks nice! I have an old Zoom digital recorder that I bought years ago, and it's worked great. I digitized a bunch of my cassettes with it.

Yes i will! Charged up the Lithium batteries that come with the unit, and had to reorder the 32GB Scandisk card because the other one wouldn't have worked...[they have a list at the world wide site of cards that work.] I get that Saturday. But basically all I have to do to bring it up to snuff working wise is set the time and some other stuff, then I'm good to go! All the specs are in those pics I posted...The friend who prompted me into buying the unit was visiting a week ago, and I told him the other day I've bought it. He's had one of their earlier units since 2011. He told me he's gonna get a 4 channel recorder for recording and mixing his songs...I've got 90% of the stuff he's put out over the years since Mid '80s.....great finger-Picker and electric also!

I received the SD card today, Amazon got it here one whole day early! It's all set up now, time and date set, and it's ready to roll! This weekend will be the test...

I was one busy little beaver today and yesterday. ;)

 

Did all my laundry.

Dug up what was left of a maple tree trunk, which was sticking out of the ground.

Raked up the last of the leaves in the yard.

Fixed my car's rear window defogger. Had to bypass the wiring connector chassis under the passenger seat floor.

Started retreading the staircase with 1/2" oak stair tread and risers. Finished the bottom two steps.

 

And I watched the Wisconsin Badgers beat those pesky Minnesota Gophers.....!!

He did the neighbor's next door, then the house across the street, and then he worked his way down the block. After about 90 minutes of shoveling, he walked in the house with a pocket full of cash! A little entrepreneur.

For some strange reason I wondered what happened to my ex. Then I searched for him on FB and found out he was seeing an ugly chick who works as a clerk at a grocery store. Good for him. Now I don't have to worry about him dying alone. I can get on with my life. He was a loser anyway.

Sorry! Got Side Tracked with a new Amazon Fire TV Stick I also ordered a couple weeks ago....having some trouble getting to the Home Screen for final set up...the set up sheet wasn't in the box when it arrived....so I put it on hold....wow....just picked up on my Model building yesterday also. I made my mother's day today.......by putting in a new battery in her car.

I have had to do so much overtime this week...today I started work at 6:45am and have only just finished and it's nearly 8pm, and I'm exhausted through and through.

 

It's been a mega rough week I can't even begin haha.

 

So...I get told because of all my contributions to the team and because I work with a constant smile and because I give my all...I get two paid days off!!!!

Replaced my INTEX air mattress after my old one,[May] finally stopped holding firmness. Now Pigwidgeon is crying because I put the kid-gates to the bedroom up, 'n' he can't get in to sleep on the bed, but he has a nice kitty bed in the livingroom here, but won't use it much...maybe he'll get the idea, and start using it!

Addendum: I replaced the Christmas lights on the 'Fleet Collection' bookcase, the string I put on in Aug. just gave out yesterday, but I had another string in the Storage closet, so I put them up.

When I was in the produce section of the market yesterday, the smell of the fresh cilantro inspired me to try to make my own soup ... So I stood there for a minute and thought about how I could look up some good soup recipes, etc etc , when reality slapped me in the face:

 

"What the hell is wrong with you, you are standing in the market, just buy what you like and dump it all together"

 

I filled the cart with the cilantro, red potatoes, carrots ( with the green tops, of course ;), chard, chicken bone broth, vegetable broth and chicken ..

 

I started cooking it this afternoon, and just sat down and ate

 

I swear, I will NEVER buy premade soup again

 

Best thing I ever made !!

I love soup. My favourite is cream of broccoli with cheese and bacon. So easy and so yummy. Pea with ham is a close second :drool:
