Setlist? SPOILER SPOILER

Recommended Posts

I'm hearing a lot of rumors that the original setlist that has been flying around the web is pretty close to accurate, but songs are indeed moving in and out depending on how they feel.

Geddy and Alex pretty much let slip on "The Hour" a song that they are rehearsing that was on the original list and a lot of people would most likely have not picked that song.

Ok, let's break this down

We can expect roughly 25-27 songs.

Here's what we know:

We have 7 songs from Moving Pictures

Spirit of Radio

Jacob's Ladder

4-5 songs from Snakes (Far Cry, MMB, MalNar, Armor and Sword)

Bu2B and Caravan

Count on these staples:

2112

Closer to the Heart

Subdivisions

Working Man

One Little Victory

Xanadu

The Trees

By my count, that leaves us 3-5 "surprises". It looks like they're playing "Stick it Out"...

So now the question becomes what are the other 3 songs...

Outside of that, I think I've decoded the setlist!

Say it isn't so. They played 9 songs from S&A last tour...wasn't that enough?

There will be only 3 S&A songs played.

They could add 1 more if they choose.

They went into rehearsals with a pretty clear outline of what they wanted, but they also had alternatives in case the rarities did not work out.

Everyone's sources are suspect.

Working Man will not be played. Neither will One Little Victory.

These threads can be fun to follow, yet also a bit frustrating. However my opinion is that I can certainly imagine them opening with 2112 (it was my second guess) whether its dark or not. Let's face it--some songs will see the light of day (!).

My second opinion is that I don't see why they wouldn't possibly play all or some of 'Fly By Night.' It is a radio staple for most AOR markets.

Third, that setlist posted at the head of this thread seems like a dream. A very wonderful dream.

Oh, and my other opinions are: This makes perfect sense on how they would break up Moving Pictures between sets. Its genius. I believe it.

I always imagined the second set would open with The Camera Eye.

Finally, if they indeed play those last five songs of the second set as posted here, there is a chance I could die. So, if you hear of cardiac arrest at the Atlanta show, it probably happened near the end of Jacobs Ladder.

ps thanks for posting this.

ps thanks for posting this.

I could actually see them splitting them up too and opening the second set with The Camera Eye since its so greatly anticipated.

But I still think this particular setlist is too good to be true.

All it's missing is Grand Designs and it would be my perfect setlist.

No shit...I figured I'm the only one who thinks that's an amazing song! I think they could even strip out of the keys somewhat and it'd sound almost pop-punkish...great for an encore!

I'm not the biggest fan of the first set, but if it is indeed THE ONE, then there's more than enough goodness for me to really get into it. Grand Designs, Presto, and Cut To The Chase would really make it superb

OMG YES!

I think if I heard Presto live I'd probably die of the sheer awesomeness

The A/B could just be songs they aren't sure about (ie, they want to try in rehearsal), but have narrowed the selection down. I don't think that they would alternate that many songs between shows. That is, of course, if this set list is correct [which I don't think it is].

I would agree. Resurecting Grand Designs & a first ever Presto would be spectacular. 1022.gif

Yeah I suppose that's true. I don't think this setlist is correct either, but I'll keep hoping in my little heart that they play most of those songs.
