Rush "sighting"

I listen to Michael Smerconish out of Philly in the mornings on the drive to work. He hits on a variety of topics every morning. This morning he posed a question to the audience based on the story a friend of his told him about being on a ski lift with Bill Gates for 12 minutes.

 

If you were on a ski lift for 12 minutes, who would you choose and why?

 

The first couple of callers chose Steve Jobs. About the 3rd or 4th caller, though -

 

"Neil Peart, the drummer for Rush." (Bonus points for correct pronunciation of "Peart")

 

"Why him?"

 

"Because he's just an amazing percussionist. He's read thousands of books and is extremely intelligent. He rides motorcycles and is very well-traveled. I also understand he's an excellent cook."

 

Some discussion about the upcoming tour, then Smerconish asked the guy, "If you had to recommend one Rush album to someone who doesn't have any, would it be Moving Pictures or 2112?"

 

The guy thought for a second, then replied, "Permanent Waves."

 

The segment was closed out with "Closer To The Heart."
