Yeah... did the 100 section seats really go that quick? Jeez... Well, we're gonna be in the 200 section, row 19. Not bad, I just wanted a bit better. Still, we'll be a lot closer than normal. We're usually on the lawn when we see them at the Gorge.

I got 3 tickets, one for me and my daughter and whoever else is extra nice to me in the upcoming months.  http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/wink.gif  Section 105, row 3, seats 13, 14 and 15.

Does anyone know which way the seats are numbered?  Facing the stage do they start with seat 1 at the left or right end of each section?  And roughly how many seats per row?

Seats are numbered from right to left (if looking at the stage). I'm guessing about 25-30 seats in Sec 105 Row 3...so you are about in the middle and almost dead on with Alex. Maybe just a hair left of Alex, but those should be good seats.

I'm sad that I can't see Rush this time around. I HOPE they tour next year and that maybe ticket prices become a little more reasonable. I cannot swing such a high ticket price!

I know I'll be bummed when tour stories start coming in but I also know everyone will have a great time.

Bummer! I want to meet as many TRF'ers as I can this time.

A tad shocked at the ticket prices. $995 if you wanted within the first five rows (that's for one ticket). I wanted section five (Alex's side) but for some reason I can't seem to find anyone selling tickets in that section. Doesn't matter too much anyway since one ticket will cost me about $400. I was thinking that I wouldn't mind spending a couple hundred to be somewhere around row 10 but this is outrageous. I was not expecting the tickets to be that expensive.

Where were you buying tickets? http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/unsure.gif

From the Musictoday pre-sale, I got Section 5 for $134 (single).

Also got two tickets together in Section 101 for the same price (each).

I had two windows open. One for livenation and the other for stubhub. Stubhub's prices were about $50 more expensive than livenation's. I did try the Rush.com presale route too but the closest I could get was section 101. Not to sound like a little snot but I don't want to be further back than like row 10.

I wish I would have spent my time searching the Rush.com presale than the other two. http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/sad.gif

At this point, I'm going to see what tickets become available through the Rush fan web sites and try my luck at radio contests. Or, see if I can get anything decent when tickets go on regular sale.

Janie,

FYI, I just looked on StubHub (I know, I know) but they had tickets in section 5 - (hey, that's where I am http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/1022.gif) for $300, they were in row 12 with no seat # given. You said you were willing to go a couple hundred for something near row 10. Just thought I'd throw that out there for you.

On another note - does any body know anything about a shuttle to the amphitheatre? Where it picks up and what it costs? I went there in 2007 and remember that the parking lot was terrible after the show.

$300 for row 12? What I really wanted was to spend $200 to be within the first few rows. I'm still shocked at how expensive these tickets are, plus, there's this talk about the driving/parking nightmare at the venue. I'm almost glad I'm not going at this point! I don't want to spend $1,000 for my dream seat and then take a shuttle to and from the parking lot in the middle of the night. Plus, I would be by myself.

When I saw Rush two years back at the gorge, I paid I think $70 for my row 10 seat. http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/wacko.gif

I was row 6 that night at The Gorge and I paid about the same for my tickets too. I hope I can swing a Seattle show next year but I'm not getting my hope up too high about cheaper tickets next time around. Sadly I don't think the ticket prices are going to come down for next year Janie. But is it just this venue that is asking for these prices? Other venues aren't charging what White River is charging.

The husband and I are bringing the daughter this year to see Rush! Her second concert, well 4th or 5th if you count her Daddy's shows, her first being ZZ Top. There are people travelling with in my truck and like 5 or 6 other friends who are going to meet up with us there! Going to be a great time! http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/1022.gif

Does anyone know anything about the seating here? I went for the first leg of S&A and sat quite a way back, so I didn't pay any attention to the closer seating . This time I got section 5, row 10 which is the second row in the section, About 9 rows from the stage.

My question is, does anyone know if the seats in that area are raised above the seats in front of them? Or is it flat seating until farther back?

Regarding pricing...

For what it's worth, this year I paid $134 for row 12 at White River (Music Today) and $300 for row 8 in Las Vegas (Live Nation).

Two years ago, I paid $100 for row 16 in Phoenix (Music Today).

IMO, these 2010 prices aren't unreasonable compared to other recent shows I've priced (Eagles, Roger Waters).

Yes, the StubHub prices suck, but those are broker and scalper prices, not the venues.

But if you want to be in the first few rows these days, then you're going to pay more. It has never been easy to get the great seats, even before the rise of brokers and scalpers. Twenty years ago, you could camp out at the box office and sometimes get lucky, but often you still wound up with mediocre seats. And then they started passing out "lottery numbers" to people in line, making camping out a moot point. http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/sad.gif

I does seem like ticket buying is always rigged against the fans, and in favor of the scalpers and brokers. http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/angry.gif But even though the current system is still frustrating, I have gotten consistently better Rush seats (admittedly more $) through online pre-sales than through the old days of camping out at the box office.

I agree.

I remember going to the T4E tour. We were second in line and ended up with row 33 at The Gorge. Are you kidding me??? We were expecting row 10 or so being second in line.

For the 2nd leg of S&A at the Gorge, I was able to get row 16 online and I got row 10 this time, also online. My tickets were $130 each this time around, after fees. I don't think that is too bad at all. And when you compare it to the inflation on other items like gas and groceries, it is probably behind the curve.

I am hoping to make this gig but the past few months have thrown my life off course with family health issues. I really want to be there and want to meet up with others before the concert. Just have to see how things go.
