http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/trink39.gif Looks like theres gonna be at least 6 of us from Scotland. Just bought 2 more tickets. Section D, Row 7. Pretty good eh?

Is there gonna be an official meet up venue prior to the show?

We should be easy enough to pick out as we'll be wearing the kilt. A bit of a tribute to Mc Chicken and Resist. Hoping to have a great time. http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/cheer.gif

As far as I'm concerned the "official" meetup venue will be The Black Rose, 160 State Street, Boston, MA. That's where my husband and I, along with my sister, Multiplied Reaction plus most likely a few more in our usual crew will be going - haven't received definites on it yet, cause the show is still 4 months away http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif

Lyn, are you serious about the Kilts? Might work in Scotland yeah, but be advised;

In Boston there are a lot of ventilationlattices on the sidewalk.

Remember what happened to Marylin Monroe???

If something like that can happen to you, please let me know. In that case I will bring my welding mask!!!

So, looks like we'll have a couple Scotchmen. Does that even work for women? Scotchwomen? My browser's spell-checker isn't picking up on it, so I guess it does. At any rate, maybe one of you can tell me why David Tennant looks like Richard Hammond!

Seriously, though, that'll be cool. Seeing Rush fans from other countries.

That's right Meek, not only will there be some Scotchmen, but also The Flying Dutchman will show up in Boston. (that'll be me)

Good chance we'll meet up before the show and bring out a toast to our Heroes from Canada. http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/trink39.gif

The Scotch wearing there Kilts does not mean that I will be there with wooden shoes http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/no.gif

You're other question; Maybe they have the same dad, who knows?

Have any of our Scottish RUSH Brethren who plan to meet-up in Boston been to Mansfield in the past for S&A?!?

I ask because we met the nicest Scottish family - - Mom, Dad, and a very happy and excited young fella - - at the McDonald's closest to Great Woods/Tweeter/Comcast when we stopped just before the show. (Embarassing, I know, but the Grandson wanted French Fries!!!)

They had driven down from Nova Scotia, where they were vacationing, because our Massachusetts show was the closest. They introduced themselves when they came over to admire our RUSH-Mobile!!! (The car is GREAT for meeting RUSH friends!!!) I was in awe of the length of their trek to experience the show with us!!!

In my PRE-SHOW nerves and excitement, I neglected to get their names. I regret that, as they were the nicest souls and I would love to send them a post.

This is a long-shot, I know, . . . but I wanted to put this story out there in case a friend knows a friend who might have heard something similar.

In any event, WE WELCOME OUR FRIENDS ACROSS THE POND TO BOSTON!!!!!!! Can't wait to hear your accents!!!!!

And personally, I ALWAYS CHEER HEARTILY for a JOYFUL LIFTING of the KILTS!!!!! http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif

Ah, yes...the Rushmobile. I PMed you way back to find out the source of your graphics and you gave me a username and an email, but I never got it done. I shot off an email to the guy yesterday, so I hope he still does it! I've got a new car now and a great spot to stick a Starman graphic!

Hare, No Sorry, but non of us have ever been state side before to see Rush. We did go to Oslo in Norway during the last tour but thats as far as we've ventured. We're really looking foreward to our trip over the pond, although we are having a bit of trouble getting a hotel for 6 in Boston at a reasonable price. Same hotel chain in Washington is half the price of Boston for some reason http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/confused13.gif Anyhow, we'll do our best and promise to share our accent with as much fellow fans as possible http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Stay outside Boston, it's really worth the extra travel time.

http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif Yippeeee! Just booked a houseboat in Boston, pier 8. Something different eh? Turned out to be a good bit cheaper than hotels in the same area. Only a short bus ride to the venue, i hope. Thats the final part of the jigsaw for us. Just gotta save up the spending money now.

Roll on September. Thanks to all who helped with advice etc.

Even more new Rush friends will be joining us at the Boston "Garden Grady!"

My horse Shire's "Equine Podiatrist" Stacia who is a Rush Newbie and her boyfriend Jason (who introduced her to the band) would like to meet up with all of us.
