Well, the boys overdid themselves again!!!!!!

Great meeting you guys and Girls

Time to head to IGORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Bye for now.

http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/2.gif

Were you in section B row 14, around seat 11 or 12? If so you were sitting right behind me.

Yes I was, seat 12. Shame I didn't match the guy with the person here.

You were sitting directly behind my friend. I was to the right of him.

Since you were sitting in the same area as us I wonder what you thought of the overall sound throughout the show? My friend and I were both underwhelmed. It wasn't terrible by any means but the only low end in the mix was coming from Neil's kick. The guitar had no low end, the bass had no low end, and Geddy's vocals had no low end. Geddy's bass sounded like it was in a cavern half the night, and the bass tone you hear on the records was in no way apparent live. That was the worst part about the sound IMO. I don't wear earplugs btw.

Overall sound was much better than I am used to at the Rotterdam Ahoy Stadium

What stunned me was that the new songs sounded much worse than the others, It became a sort of blur i.m.h.o.

Earplugs I don't need anymore, the damage is done. http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/1022.gif

When they recorded SnA Live in Rotterdam Ahoy, they also played Between the Wheels, awesome, but it had so much low that I thought they were using a non lethal weapon. It hit you right in the stomach

Yeah I thought Caravan would sound big live, but it was just the opposite. However, this leads right into what I am saying. There was little low end in the mix not only from the bass, but from the guitar too, and that is the cause of why heavy songs like Caravan didn't sound heavy.

Cool, found a few with the forum members. Is this the actual resolution??

Are you accessing it from a phone or a PC? From a PC, you should be able to click the pic for a full-size version. From any other device, I couldn't say.

I'm accessing with a laptop, it gets bigger, but the properties shows something like 200k a picture. Me myself shot pictures that are about 4 to 5 Mb!!

I didn't catch the name (or don't remember) of the Salat guy. Does anyone know who he is. He came in with the guy that I put on Belgium Abt beer 9,5%. Yep, he started out laughin', but after a while, he must have felt that one. http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/trink38.gif http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/wacko.gif

We had a great time for sure.

I agree with the sound being a little weak. I was wearing ear plugs though so my first assumption is that its just me.

I thought the guitar was a little low in the mix.

Overall it was a great show... but not quite up to my very high, nearly impossible to meet Rush show standards. It was at least 100 times better than any other band at their best... but sort of underwhelming as far as Rush goes.

Don't get me wrong, I'd go again tonight and every night if I could... it just wasn't a blow-me-away experience like the previous 17 shows I have seen.

Anyway...

Kbomb, great pictures. Thanks for posting them. I took about a billion sadly low res from the back of the room pictures last night but I haven't sorted through them yet. I'll post something when I have something to post.

Football You Bet,

LERXST69 had a banner that he waved.

I think that this was him then because the dude behind me had some sort of banner. I never saw him wave it though cause I was sitting in front of him. Tallish dude with long dirty blonde hair? Too bad, I would've said hi, but I didn't know until after the show. My friend sitting next to me told me after the show that there was a guy from the Netherlands sitting behind me, and that's when I wondered whether it was LERXST69. Actually, I almost fell over during the show and I think he helped me from falling. I fell over because my jagoff friend pushed me hard during the show like the spaztard he is. http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif

Btw, I've never seen seats more cramped in my life. The floor rows and the seats themselves were so close together it was like being packed into a sardine can. I go to a lot of shows and have never had floor seating that cramped.

Yep, it was tight. Just got the plane and landed in Orlando save. There was more space in the plane than on the Rush show.

Orlando is a steam oven really. I can get rid of that BOSTON fleece zipper I bought and get me some bermudaaaaaaahhhhssssss.

So I pick up the convertible, top down, put on the radio, some crap station.

Push the search button once and guess what....................

You won't believe, but it was a song about a car!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/2.gif

I'm shitting you not. http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/no.gif

So glad you arrived safely!!!!

We had an awesome time last night - - it was great to meet you in person!

Thank you ever-so-much for your beautiful flag!!!!! My students heard the whole story today. We will send you pictures when we get a chance!

I am EXHAUSTED!!!! http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif

Oh, and I forgot to mention something about this show: security was awesome. They didn't do anything to or against me, but a few songs into the first set, they came up to the guy in front of me who had 3 kids with him. I thought the security dude was going to chastize him for letting the kids occasionally wander into the audience or something. Instead, he took the kids and disappeared with them, which seemed odd. He came back about a minute later with no kids and told the guy that he took them up to the front row, and they could stay there the whole show. I know there's been recent controversy surrounding being in spots you haven't paid for, but these were little kids who wouldn't obstruct anyone's view, and I think it was a nice gesture - something they'll likely remember a really long time. They came back at the end of the show with picks. http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif

I smelled some shit, but, believe me on this one, it is nothing compared to the smoke that hung in Ahoy. Pot is legal in NL, so............

In Ahoy you don't have to smoke yourself, as you will get high on other peoples money http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif

The only downside is that when you are in the back, you wont see the stage from the smoke that is.

Yeah I'm not so sure either http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/sad.gif I was a little worried that I was going to get a phone call asking for the unpaid amount to be paid by me since I was the one who made the reservation in the first place http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/sad.gif
