yyztmmb
QUOTE (J2112YYZ @ Aug 29 2010, 02:18 PM)Also, I managed to score front row tickets for this show http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/653.gif http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/applaudit.gif Does anyone know what the seating situation is like right up by the stage? I think that there is a bit of a gap between the stage and the front row. SPAC's front row is really close to the stage compared to other venues. The Fair is more like Darien Lake or Hershey with that space for security or whatever. There will be chairs, but you'll wish they weren't there!! yyztmmb
QUOTE (J2112YYZ @ Aug 31 2010, 09:21 AM)Why would I wish the chairs weren't there? http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/unsure.gif There is no sitting at a Rush concert...at least not in the first few rows. Security will dump you if you stand on the chairs. So, now, you have all those empty chairs AND people standing in front of their empty chairs. Now the chair is going to hit you all night in the back of the legs, knees, whatever....and limit your natural tendency to move around a bit. They just get in the way. YMMV, but at SPAC, I was ready to hurl my chair into the balcony by the end of the night http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/angry.gif

I've never had problems with them at a concert like you're describing http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/wacko.gif I don't stand on my chair either. That's way more uncomfortable than being smushed in your seat all night. I know there's no sitting at a Rush show this will be my 8th time seeing them. I'm still gonna sit during the intermission because that's pretty much what it's for.
got rush?
My wife and I have Track seats for the NYS Fair, 2nd row in DEAF/BLIND seating. Wife has very limited sight, might be her last show to see. We are flying in from Baton Rouge, so we are not familiar with the fair seating. Does anyone know if by being so close to the stage, will we be able to see the entire stage or just so far back? I read in this forum that the stage is very tall and the seats are on the ground, sure wish to see PEART at least. If anyone has good details, please email me: rushfan23@ymail.com THANKS FOR ANYTHING ! ! W & K BURNS

They might have more info, particularly given your circumstances with disability-friendly seating.

Thursday seems to be the slower day (though not empty by any means) of the fair, so hopefully it won't be too crowded (it was insane Saturday), and today is the rescheduled Justin Bieber concert, so...not sure what that means. one more day http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/common001.gif http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/1022.gif
