I've had 5 dogs, including the current two. The previous 3 all lived a VERY long time (Beau was 16, Andrew 17, and Oscar lived to an amazing 21).

One thing I regretted is that we didn't have nearly enough pictures of them. Simon and Lance are 6, and we have shitloads of photos of those two. (Of course, we have no human kids, so we have to photograph something!)

 

The only thing I hate about having pets is that they do not live long enough.

That's one of my favorites, too! He was eating peanut butter and I snapped about ten pics in a row to get that shot.

 

I need to take a new pic of his Milk Bone trick, too. We now have him to where he can balance it on his nose.

 

In the third one there was a squirrel in the yard.

I payed $350 to have it removed and he passed on 3 months later. I've gone through a few rabbits, the smaller pets just don't have the longevity that cats or dogs do.
