Little shooting stars like these grew in a field near where I grew up. They also come in a mauve hue. Ye, I said mauve.

Ooohh - Lilacs and Irises - My 2 favorites!!

Very nice, LRF!!

With all the snow we just got yesterday, I don't think flowers will want to show their face around here for quite a few more weeks!!

The Alberta Wild Rose.

Our Provincial Flower.

Delicate and a gorgeous smell that is strong. These grow in ditches and woods all over the province. You can also buy the tame variety in a hedge like form.

I think I'm the only woman alive who does not enjoy gardening. laugh.gif

I enjoy it in small doses...I'm not one to spend hours every day digging up weeds and stuff. If it's low maintenance stuff, I like puttering around with it.

Same here! I have a small-medium sized veggie garden. For the front of the house, I just have some simple hostas, and other "hand-me-downs" from the neighbors. Easy stuff though - add some mulch in the spring, and water occasionally when it's too hot/dry.

Some of my neighbors are REALLY into gardening. One is quite snobby about it - and always points out what I've done wrong -after the fact! If she knows so much - it would be nice if she shared her knowledge before I messed things up.....

Oh well - we can't all be as nice and considerate as I am!! laugh.gif
