The Main Monkey Business
some of them may be a little OTT for a new listener, whenever I introduce new people to Rush I always start them off with moving pictures, permenant waves etc. But none the less that is a great playlist
Rush Cocky
I think it varies with the person. I play with a really good friend at church. He's an African-American in his mid 40s, and plays bass. He also likes a lot of late 70s pop/soul (what I call "old school"). He was curious about Rush, and I made him a demo disc of 16 different tracks from all different eras. I thought as a bass player he would be impressed with the technical skill of Geddy. Turns out he only latched on to one song.....Leave That Thing Alone. I can see that.....it's familiar enough given his background that reeled him in. He appreciated the other Rush, but it just wasn't his thing. That's cool, it's not for everyone....
