"A master beer." Yeah. A shitty American beer with a German-sounding name is still a shitty American beer.

No "horrible beer" thread would be complete without mentioning one of the most foul tasting/smelling beers ever to sell in the UK - Skol Lager :"best served when dead"

We called it Black Flag. In the 80's you could get a case of bar bottles for 5 bucks.

Man...does that bring back memories.  Got many a cheap buzz off of Black Label during the college years.  I think we could get it for $1.70 a six pack back in 89'.   laugh.gif

Anyone ever try this Quebec-Canadian beauty?  If so raise your hand if you lost your lunch.  I love the photo because nobuddy in human history has drank this out of a glass.  You are 30 times more likely to drink this in a ditch.  Oh yeah I admit I have an apocalypse infatuation but a beer than translates to "The End of the World?" but tastes like festering mid august neglected cat litter water?  No thanks!  I won't even touch the brewer name "Unibroue" not sure what that means in English but damned good attempt at making this yeti-repellant even less sexy.

I once split a 12 pack with 2 university drinking buddies and two out of three of us got sick.  Yum!

I've seen that in my local store and have thought about trying it but I believe I'll avoid it now.  laugh.gif I have tried the Trois pistoles and it was just okay, I won't buy it again. I've also seen the Unibroue in the same store My wife and I were in there one day and I held it up and asked her "does this say Unibrow?"  laugh.gif

When I used to go and visit my buddies at Illinois State, everyone down there drank this because it was dirt cheap.

Terrible beer. The Budweiser of Australia. I get the feeling most real beer drinkers from Down Under are embarrassed by the attention Foster's gets.

I never even really saw Foster's for sale when I was in Australia. I think they brew it mainly for export. Victoria Bitter (VB) is what most people like down there.

Fosterís is not sold much in Australia, itís marketed purely to foreign markets, and thank god for that, cause I would rather drink the urine of a wildebeest. Iím embarrassed that foreigners associate this abomination of a beer with Australia. If you want a great Aussie beer, try Coopers, James Squire or Boagís.

PS. I gotta disagree with the Victoria Beer comment. It is very popular, but I put it in the same category as Fosterís. Gimmie a Coopers any day.

I still contend Fosters is way better then stuff like Genesee, or Meister Brau, or Natural light.
I can drink Fosters and not feel sick. The ones I just mentioned.... 062802puke_prv.gif
