Special Anagram

Right then, seeing as how much irritation and annoyance the word scramble game is causing, I thought I'd go right out and try and totally put you in a rubber room by devising the mega-scramble as a one off.

This is only one anagram and, I think, if you get a part the rest will fall into place.

So, if you're ready, get yopur teeth into this:

Trouble frees cold heat trap

Ooh, grand Dean stricken blind

Since dull roasted bound slum

Fold flayed hog, bruise thatch

Would moaning silo.

Twinge, maul, right tripe

Eh, a tumble ruins grand herd

Driven out taste, Ian?

Reap tall corn. Steal each dot due

Drowns tight meals

Rabbit! Bring me sunk hen

Seem woolly fen

Hook thy steaks yet.

Finish night, sheath off sting

I fart. He cave. Web,

From this a reed.

The best of luck.

I haven't totally checked this, but as an opening shot -

Begin the day

with a friendly voice,

a companion, unobtrusive.

Plays the song that's so elusive,

and the magic music makes your morning mood.

Off on your way,

hit the open road,

there's magic at your fingers

For the Spirit ever lingers,

undemanding contact In your happy solitude.

Invisible airwaves

crackle with life.

Bright antennae bristle

with the energy

Emotional feedback

on a timeless wavelength

bearing a gift beyond price-

almost free.

And for those who asked, each line is a seperate anagram but the entire thing is one whole piece.

Well that small tidbit eliminates about 50 million permutations - thanks.

The clouds prepare for battle

In the dark and brooding silence

Bruised and sullen stormclouds

Have the light of day obscured

Looming low and ominous

In twilight premature

Thunderheads are rumbling

In a distant overture

All at once, the clouds are parted

Light streams down

In bright unbroken beams

Follow men's eyes

As they look to the sky

The shifting shafts of shining

Weave the fabric

Great challenge Slaine. I'm off to a well-deserved lunch! (Glad you mentioned it wasn't one big anagram, my brain was about to go on strike)

Alright then, you asked for it (and this is genuine):

Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, Neil Peart, super trio, never quintet, from Canada, solve Scot rotor rhythms

Not quite as long but, I think, harder.

Thanks Slaine, those are brain cells I'll never get back.

I'll try cracking it again, but going to give my brain some rest first.

Cheers,

I'm sure the rest of you are close to the top of this mountain, but as for me I'm still at the summit camp at the mountain base huddled in my sleeping bag.

I refuse to come out of my tent until I'm offered a wee clue.

OK, how about this. Instead of giving you hints which, I must confess I find difficult to think of without giving the whole thing away, I'll give you a random letter from the answer and, from now on, try and add another letter every day until the puzzle is solved.

Right then, the first letter in the answer is O

Let's see. 80 letters total. So total combinations is n! where n is total letters.

Before the clue we had..

80! =

7,160,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

ugly combinations to deal with.

But now that we know the first letter is "O" that gives us:

80! - 79! =

70,700,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

less combinations!

Which leaves us with only..

79! =

89,500,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

combinations left! Let me grab a cheeseburger and I'll do this over lunch hour.

Just kidding Slaine. Thanks for the clue. We are grateful. Really. bncegrn.gif

Of course you realise that if you had focused your awesome intellect on solving the puzzle instead of all that brain mashing claculation, you'd probably have the answer by now b_sigh.gif

Rice, you got me Slaine. Spending my energy on the wrong things. Story of my life really. It all started when..

Meh, I don't want to co-opt you're thread into my life story. Some other time.
