CygnusX-1Bk2
Typical. We give you ALL of Permanent Waves, yet I must be berated, mocked, ridiculed, and made fun of. At least one of you will be there. ( Lee)

GhostGirl
QUOTE (CygnusX-1Bk2 @ Mar 15 2005, 01:22 AM) Ugh, I'm all sticky. Nice gunk on my fretboard. Good musicians get sticky...it's part of their charm. Give me a nice sweaty pic of Neil or Dave Gilmour any day... I can't comment intelligently about "gunk on the fretboard." Yes, good help is SO hard to find. You're in a better position to find a tribute band in Dallas than *I* am in Just-West-of-the-Big-Tree, Alabammy. Schro
Maybe I'll just take things into my own hands and form my own tribute band that only plays in Texas and Alabama, obviously the two most undermarketed Rush states in the nation. Let's see, I think I can do the Geddy role. Let's go down the list. I can play keyboards. Check. And some bass. Check but need to start practicing 8 hours a day. Bass pedals. Hmm, have to pick up some of those. Shouldn't be too hard to learn. Check. Anything I missed? Oh yeah, vocals. Ouch, I'm not so good there. Cripes Ged, why'd ya have make your role so hard? You don't have to do everything, man! Stand up for yourself and spread out the work a little, bud! Hmm. I see a conversation forming. Check for a new post in the Rush forum soon. I see Geddy calling a group meeting.. Schro

Digital Man
For all those that live close enough, you should really make an effort to come see this band. They are awesome. It will definitely be worth your time.

Schro
I'm with GG. I would give anything to see you in action CygnusX-1Bk2. I'm sure you're great!! I love Rush tribute bands. They keep the spirit of the band alive and I for one appreciate that. I've only been to a few tribute concerts, but each one I was in heaven (plus I had way better seats than I ever got for a Rush show). We know you can't duplicate them perfectly and we're ok with that. Just give us your heart and soul and you will capture our imagination. Good luck at the show CygnusX-1Bk2 - wish I could be there! Schro
Let's see.. if I jump in my car now and head west averaging 70 miles per hour, I could get there by.. Ahh, fudge lol. Best of luck, CygnusX-1Bk2. That faint sound you'll hear is me screaming from Dallas. Wish I could be there! (did I mention that already?)
