It's not all that simple. I suppose I prefer to listen to RUSH more often, but I love Zeppelin. I'm simply more into RUSH right now. Both great bands....both amongst my favorites and I'd choose Rush only because I'm more excited by them and the fact that they're still active and productive. Edited by Presto-digitation

i think 2.gif is a much better band. i love zep from HOUSES OF THE HOLY thru IN THROUGH THE OUT DOOR but i think 2.gif is a far better band of players than zep . i said it before , zep had a better singer and keyboard player . that's it . i am sure some of you will disagree , that's o.k

Zeppelin's songwriting was brilliant. The playing was sloppy at times, but intentionally so. I listen to RUSH much more often, but Zeppelin is a great, great band and probably outperforms RUSH in terms of songwriting, in my opinion.

 

RUSH are much more likeable, though.

oh yeah, i have the album and c.d. my fav zep song is SINCE IVE BEEN LOVING YOU. i just think the albums as a whole were better later on .i don't care if i ever hear STAIRWAY or WHOLE LOTTA LOVE ever agian

Well, it is possible, it's just ridiculously complicated. I had to move quickly in and out of the spacetime continuum, dealing with alternative universes, time travel, black holes, Euclidian and Non-Euclidian geometry, super string theory, pi, quantum mechanics, etc.

 

It's not something I recommend attempting, and I must admit that I am completely psychically exhausted, but at least now we know that it can be done! In your FACE freewill!

Rush is 18 studio albums into their career, Zeppelin finished with 8 (OK, 9 if you include Coda). The Boys just went way beyond what Zeppelin ever realized--and drugs began to take their toll on their productivity before Bonham's death. Zeppelin are rock gods and one of my favorites, but Rush are the greatest. Period.

Here's my band covering both Zep and Rush!

 

I don't know if this helps with the Zep V Rush debate? I like playing both of these songs but to be honest, Limelight is a lot harder to play than Immigrant song.
