DoubleAgent420
I love the solos to Natural Science, La Villa, Driven, Working Man and The Analog Kid.... but my favorite of Lerxst's solos would be: The end of "Presentation" in 2112. Woooo!

sfuentes
I've always liked the YYZ solo, but I think that the best solo is the one in Natural Science or the one in La Villa Strangiato. I can't decide which.

Hey 1-0-0, I can see your sig now in Firefox!!! Me too! RR (a.k.a. "CodeBoy") fixed the code so it would show up correctly in both Firefox and IE. Ain't he swell? Hey, 24 is on in a minute! Ghost of a Rider
For some reason some of his outro solos are the ones that have struck me. My favorites are Open Secrets, You Bet Your Life, Mission, Prime Mover, Different Strings. There are others I'm sure but I can't think of them right now. kbomb106
I don't know if this thread is specifically restricted to studio performances, but if any performance is fair game, I'd have to say La Villa as performed in ~1979. We went to town at Pinkpop on that song.

Proggy
1. Between The Wheels 2. Natural Science (the 1st solo) 3. The Analog Kid I'm extremely content with those. But Alex's overall highpoint for me has to be in Afterimage; that emotional high note at the end of the song blows me away every single time. Cygnus_X1
Lime Light It doesn't have to be long like the Working Man solo to be awesome!
_pete_
Tough question. Freewill is really put together well as is La Villa. A Farewell to Kings and Xanadu have great solos also. Bastille Day, Limelight, YYZ, etc., etc. They are all pretty good. Lifeson's strength is his ability to always play what is not expected.
neilpeart_gal
Without question -- Bravado. And in second and third place, Bravado.

Slaine mac Roth
For me its got to be Different Strings - its got such a plaintive, aching sound and is so full of expression. Just a shame its cut off when its starting to get going fully. I wonder if, somewhere, somweone's got the full solo Al played after the mix was faded out. RushGuru
A Passage to Bangkok on ESL, hands down. Soliloquy would be a close second. I also love Fly by Night, La Villa, Analog kid, Cut to the chase, and the Different stages version of Overture.
Ghost of a Rider
I thought of a few others: Witch Hunt from ASOH Bravado Available Light kid Gloves Time And motion (That one's so crunchy, it tastes good.) Afterimage (I'd swear the guitar is actually weeping.) Between The Wheels
