Saint NIck
In '94, I was able to get my hands on a video boot of Grace Under Pressure at the Montreal Forum. At that time I've only been to three Rush concerts; being Presto, Roll the Bones and the recent Counterparts all here in New Orleans. With that, I had the official releases of 'Exit', 'Grace' and 'Show' on VHS. Anyway, I play the GUP boot and after 'Spirit' I got to see Subdivisions and then Geddy intro, "...hello Montreal...something from Grace Under Pressure, this is The Body Electric...". So a minute or so later Geddy gets to the first "...1001001..." and the crowd noise was mind-boggling. A few seconds later into "...memory banks unloading..." and the crowd was ballistic; deafening...so loud I could barely hear the music. Could it be the laser show? So I experience the rest of this show, all that I missed from the MTV concert & the official release, and perhaps like Everyone here mesmerized by Rush; and this was from '84. Perhaps...just the begining of what would become so many sacred, special moments.
