I had this in another thread but thought it should get one of it's own. This started with Mr. Peart's solo drum track of The Main Monkey Business that he has up on his website. I did all the guitar tracks and posted here to find someone to do bass & keys. Camera Eye82 graciously recorded the parts (including a vocal track) and I just finished up the first draft of a mix. (I still need to re-record the intro acoustic guitar cause the timing is crappy.) Good work yet again pete and great job camera......you guys should do more of this.... I've been wanting to do something like this with Rush's Summertime Blues.....but i couldnt find anyone interested for bass/drums/vox... I agree the mix needs a little work like Analog1123 said about the bass being louder and overall it seems a little hot. in places like that break when Neil hits that deep tom, a liitle distortion coming through. Not sure of your recording and mixing process but if you need advise on how to fix this just let me know. Here's a screenshot of the wave form. As you can see all the peaks are chopped at 0 db which is not good. I worked my butt off trying to copy TMMB. He does some awesome work on that song. Thanks Pete for mixing it also. Great job on the guitars. This is going to be great when its finally mixed.
