The Rockford Files
Kojak
Starsky and Hutch
Quincy
Dr Who
The Streets of San Francisco
The Dukes of Hazard
The Six Million Dollar Man
Charlie's Angels

You forgot Columbo, hence your list is meaningless!

I did like the show, but then you always miss one off a list...

There's others too

I used to like:

Ironside

Cannon

The Bionic Woman

Alias Smith and Jones

Banacek

Police Woman

Soap

Space 1999

Mork and Mindy

MASH

Mcmillan and Wife

UFO

Logan's Run

Blake's 7

Happy Days

Buck Rogers

You forgot to add Kolchak: The Night Stalker, hence this list is meaningless, too!

Now THAT was a great show.

All in the Family
Good Times
Sanford and Son
Happy Days
M*A*S*H
Quincy
The Waltons

Combine your list and TD's first list and then you have my perfect fav list.

As for Columbo, Peter Falk's lazy eye used to freak me out as a kid so I didn't like watching that one.

Never saw Kolchak but I read that it inspired the creator of the X-Files to do that show

A few I remember..

M*A*S*H I still check every day to see which eps Hallmark and TVLand are running.

McCloud (man i miss A&E showing those reruns)

Quincy

One Day at a Time (had basically forgoptten this, but my cable system has some eps of this "on demand" and brought the memories back)

Benson. TVLand showed a ton of eps a while back, and I was surprised this second time around how sorry I felt for Clayton. Man did he get abused. Still very funny, but I'd keep noticing spots where I'd say to myself, "Come on, he didn't deserve that."

Kolchak: The Night Stalker CLASSIC!!! OK, I didn't see it until the 80's because I was about 4 when it originally ran, but there might not be another series ever that better mixed both genuine chills and comedy into the same show. Kolchak having to shoot a Miss Emily lookalike with a crossbow?? Priceless biggrin.gif

The Jeffersons

I've not heard of that.

It was a spinoff of All In The Family that featured Archie's African American neighbor, George Jefferson, and his family.

He's never heard of The Jeffersons. Does he even know All In The Family?

Or the classic theme.

"Moving on up to the east side..." :7up:

Lenny Kravitz's mom was on the show as well.

One of my favourites from the 70s. A bit cheesy and definitely politically incorrect, like many shows from the era - it just wouldn't be made these days.

'75-’82 Barney Miller was a smart show. Definitely stands the test of time as it was written reasonably close to real life. Excellent acting from a large cast of regulars and guests that could deliver the sting of life's troubles along with it's hilarious irony. Remember watching the first run final episode and saying, "That was a good show."

Plus it had one of the coolest theme songs ever.
