Your opinion? Oh and by the way, in her opinion its okay to wear short shorts and mini skirts as long as you don't wear them with heels. It's just one of those proper etiquette things. It's simply more appropriate to wear short heels with a short skirt/dress hemline. Yes, you are still showing the same amount of skin but there is a certain connotation with the shirt skirt/high heel look that will probably never change! But the fact is...its viewed as, high heels are fine, just not with a mini skirt, (infact, I think the proper term for what I was wearing was a "mini skort" ). But with anything else they're okay. Say you're wearing really short denim shorts (tight-ish too) and really flashy shoes, like bright platforms -- might be considered boderline hooker. But, say you have a nice pair of trouser shorts (made of twill or something, like a khaki) and more subdued heels, like black and brown, no matter the height -- that would look classy. Not sure if you can follow me or not. In the end, I think it's up to your judgement and how you pull it off. I wore this nice beige top one time that I and many others thought was dressy looking with nice pants, but my dad thought looked trashy But if you think you looked alright, I'm sure no one is going to mistake you for a call girl. My parents think everything except shapeless baggy-ass clothes are skanky and trashy. On another note... I mean, its not like the skirt/shorts in question are like borderline showing my ass. It falls like...just below my fingertips. If you are wearing short up your ass shorts/tight ass short short mini-skirts, that makes you trampy automatically...without the help of high heels.
