gleamingalloyaircar81
This was 1st song! Its called We Hold on and its a very sentimental song to us. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QU8Si-6vH7o Here are the lyrics for We Hold On (Chorus) We hold on to our dreams We hold on to reality We hold on to everything we love We hold on til we get up above We hold on We hold on Well we try to live our lives Doing right as best we can We try to make others proud We live so we can get to the clouds But when we leave The ones we love We know we'll see them again If (chorus) No matter how bad it gets We must not throw a fit Because when we look at others lives We see how blessed we are And it is only then that we know To pull our heads from the stars And then (chorus) Well there really is no point Living life with sorrows Just remember that bad things come To those who dont deserve them And if you keep your held high You will defeat them You will defeat them if (chorus) Edited May 4, 2008 by gleamingalloyaircar81
gleamingalloyaircar81
This is our 2nd song we wrote! Its called Starry Night. This song is just meant to be dark and spooky. I think we accomplished that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3OsH_7e2ik In the darkness of the night There shines a light Shines real bright and don't you know The gods hearts are cold To them we beg for mercy Please please please forgive me But it doesn't ever work They send us back to earth The mortals scream because they don't know what to do They put their faith in all their gods But they didn't help you But someday you'll find a way To get those gods back They'll beg and plead for mercy but you'll just send them back If you look at the night sky You see the many signs What they say, you do not know It's a great big light show And as you stand there in the night You can see the god of light His greatness spread out across the sky It makes you wonder why And when the morning light has come You know what you have to do So put your faith in all your gods and they will rescue you It may not be today that they rescue you But if you put your faith in all your gods They will help you

(chorus) Every plan's failing At trying to capture her heart I dont' know what else I can possibly do If she doesn't love me The she will never love you She will neveer love you Talking to her everyday Trying to get her to like me It hasn't been working She just just turned me down But I won't give up If it beats me down to the ground (chorus) It didn't work She just turned me down But I still love her I just can't give up Trying to win her heart Oh one day it'll work She will go out with me It may not be soon But one day it will happen to me But for now (chorus)
gleamingalloyaircar81
This is our 4th song. Its called The Benevolent Factor. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNXS31fWwrc (verse 1) Sitting there on the corner Watching the passerby Begging for dimes and nickels To buy themselves a high They are not as fortunate As the ones they often see They have many wounds That can't help but bleed Life is not poetic With so many on the streets But it wont get any better If the fortunate are cheap (chorus) Needing help from a generous source They can't do it by themselves Withstanding the cold and hunger Needing a benevolent factor In need of a benevolent factor (verse 2) Unable to find work No food to eat That's how it is Living life on the strees Living in boxes, exposed to the cold Dying so young Not growing old Facing problems is daily work Needing help from a generous source Someone to steer them on the right course In need of help from a generous source (repeat chorus) (verse three) Giving money to charity Is the noblest thing to do If you don't believe in it Walk around in their shoes Sometimes the circumstances Went beyond their control Going to the soup kitchen Eating bread and rolls Just a day in the life Of a homeless person They need a helpfull soul They need a helpfull soul (repeat chorus)
gleamingalloyaircar81
This is our 5th song. Its a 25:48 epic! Its called The Long And Winding Road. I wrote the lyrics about my struggles with being picked on and beaten up everyday at school and how I was cutting myself and how I almost resorted to suicide. The song has 7 parts to it played out over 4 videos. The 2 final parts of the song are about me FINALLY moving away from that hell and having a normal happy life at my new home. Please enjoy The Long And Winding Road! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1j5O1FqsUhs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1D5vIjmLf0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z70B_dSfCp8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63CZg_obFu8 Part I: Final Plan The teenage life is stressful enough Without the worries of conformity The fact that kids get teased Shows everything wrong with society It seems like they always pick on The little fish in the big pond Your tennage mind wanders off to the thoughts of obtaining guns Remember that when it does You are noones hero The thoughts you have are normal But the act itself is not You are caught up in the fable That its a noble path you sought Though you have no friends at all Just please remember one thing You're really not alone at all No matter what you think You've often tried to end it But you never committed the sin When you're about to do it Just think about your kin Heed the advice of Rush And heed STYX too For they have saved my life And they can save yours too They have reminded me Of what I have to do And that theroad up ahead can only get easier If I just believe its true Part II: Second Thoughts When you tried to end it You had second thoughts You didn't know if you wanted To do it or not You thought about your family And the one you love at school If she found out what you're doing She wouldn't think you're cool So then you thought about it And realized there was no point You dont have to do it There is another choice What would your grandpa say If he saw you with that gun He'd probably say son put down that gun Before you hurt the ones you love Part III: Battle Scars When they pick on you It makes you feel so useless You don't know what to do You want to hurt them too But you need to take the high road And keep your head held high Becasue someday baby You're going to leave this place sop far behind You've got to get out of this place Here you've taken shots to the face When you've got your back turned They trow things at you It's all your dads fault That this happens to you But you can't blame him For doing your family good He wanted to give your family a better life Like he rightfully should Part IV: Realization Look what they've done to you They tore your mind apart They stomped on your loving heart You can see it now How cruel the world is There's no escaping it Its binds are tight But hold your head high And you will be fine It feels like the world is against you And everyone hates you You feel like you have nothing to live for Please dont slam the door Because its not over yet You have to try your best Don't let them get in your head Or bad things will happen to you Part V: The Long And Winding Road The long and winding road Is a very hard road to take Its not for the weak of heart Or a wounded soul I have traveled the road that you don't want to take It kills your soul It tears you apart It stomps on your sensitive loving heart But I know I never had a chance I didn't conform I never will I'm tired of taking all these pills Because of what society has done to me I've cut myself open to bleed To deal with my misery It hasn't helped me Its just hurt the ones I love And that hurts so much more Now that I've turned my back and slammed the door I have closed it on me And everyone else I love All because I let society get to me You can't let them ruin your life It's too precious to throw away They aren't worth it There is another way You have to love yourself To see the love others have for you And their love is true They really do love you Part VI: The Great Escape You've been hoping and praying for this day And now its finally come You've been paitent for so long To drive into the sun You finally sold your house You're moving so far away You're headed to a place now Where a good future lays Now that you've got here You're so relieved You got the answer And your mind isn't weak Your past demons have helped you grow Into the fine young man Your parents bestow Your dad is so proud Of the man you've become He says he couldn't have raised a better son School is so fun now That you have friends They actually like you They don't just pretend They care about you They're the worlds greatest friends You can see that people love you now Because you love yourself Sustain yourself Love yourself So sustain yourself So don't ever give up On the road called life There's always a way out Thats not through a knife You might be living in a total hell But one day baby you'll get out of the cell Just be yourself Thats all you can do And people someday will appreciate you Part VII: New Beginnings (Instrumental)
gleamingalloyaircar81
This is our 6th song so far. Its called The Save. I wrote the lyrics for my two best friends for helping mr through manic depression. Notice the initials of the song. T and S. The T stands for Toni, my best friend. the S stands for Sanne, also my best friend. The 1st instrumental in this song is for Sanne. The 2nd instrumental is for Toni. They truly are the "worlds greatest friends" like I wrote in The Long And Winding Road. Thank you all for taking the time to listen to this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gqhqxUSHuk0 Thanks to you I made it through You helped me with My issues Now I can see How to be free From all my troubles That haunt me You've seen my cuts And held me too You helped me out When I was feeling blue Kept me from cutting Myself again I was shown the light Through depression I made a promise I'll keep my word When I'm down I'll soar up like a bird You helped me through A tough time This songs for you For keeping me alive
gleamingalloyaircar81
This is our 7th song. Its called Two sides Of The Spectrum. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njkSElwUWDs "Two Sides Of the Spectrum" (verse 1) You don't know what's going on inside of you You haven't the slightest clue of what to do It's all so confusing It's all so new Don't let your guard down Or it will terminate you So hard to keep up The will to fight it and live Fight fight fight Don't let it destroy your will (chorus) Some people can't see the two sides of us They don't have to go through This emotional distress Finding someone like you Really isn't that hard It's not just luck Or a lucky shot in the dark (verse 2) It's a great big fight inside A struggle of two different sides It's hard to know what to do When you don't know the real you It's a hard thing to grasp It makes you feel it's wrath You got to find a way To see the light of day They can help you So you don't feel blue They'll help you to improve What you think of you (repeat chorus) (verse 3) You need to see a doctor But you wont take any pills You're way to afraid That you're permanently ill You don't want to put yourself Through all of this agin So you keep your feelings Bottled up Coming out You don't know when But with your mental state right now You feel messed up in the head (repeat chorus)

gleamingalloyaircar81
Ok this is the story behind We Hold On. The lyrics are very sentimental to me. I wrote the lyrics for a boy that just turned 3 and he is the son of my dads best friend that he also works with. I wrote it for him because he has Down Syndrome and is currently battling Leukemia for the 2nd time in his short yet evenful life. His family has had to be away from home and up at Duke University hospital for treatment for 5 months now and they are hoping to be able to come home at the end of March. An update: The boy is home and is now Leukemia-free!!!
