darth by tor
I just wondered if you could take the very worst (being a huge fan even rush's very worst is still better than most bands best) Music by rush and banish it to a CD, EP or maybe a boxset! What tracks would you include? Heres my list; In no particular order T4E (the whole album with the exception of driven) Everyday Glory Heresy Bet your Life Anagram Tai Shan Losing It

rickyrob
QUOTE (darth by tor @ Jan 28 2005, 03:35 PM) T4E (the whole album with the exception of driven) Nope, might have agreed with you ....erm yesterday. Not any more. What is wrong with Colour of Right, Time and Motion, Limbo, Half the World, Resist??
darth by tor
Whats wrong with them?? They are filler, not very well executed pieces of music. Having said that I LOVE the accoustic rendition of Resist, Just cant stand the over produced layers of Keyboards on the studio version.
Alsgalpal
Wow, I think there are probably a small collection of songs I dont particularly care for, I just enjoy about everything they have done. I guess tho, everyone is entitled to an opinion...
Moonraker
I must respectfully disagree with you there. There area couple moments on T4E that are a bit subpar, but for the most part I very much liked it. And if you say Losing It deserves to be banashed, then you are obviously not understanding something about it. Personally for me, I can connect to that song stronger then I do most of thier music. I dont think I would ever want to see it live because it holds such a personal meaning for me that I dont think I could share it with an entire amphitheater.
Eikon
Hmm, took a lot of thought to come up with even a few, but here they are Second Nature Hand Over Fist Virtuality Carve Away The Stone Virtuality is the main show stopper for me. I wince every time I hear it on a live recording, "net boy, net girl"...

I might not listen to some of them that often, but there isn't a single Rush song that I would want "banished"! (Esp. Losing It - that's one of my fav's!!) redstar86
I actually like Losing It. It's on Signals, track 7. I wish they could play it live, but they would need a violinist.

Red Porschetta
Man, I've heard so many insults about T4E. That album rocks. The drumming is so perfect. Plus that tour was the first time I saw Rush. The ONLY Rush song I dont like is I Think I'm Going Bald. Cool guitar on that song though.

sfuentes
Meh. I don't see what's wrong with any of the songs that Rush record. I'm too diverse in my music tastes to point out which songs from my favorite band are 'the worst', so to speak. I find all of the songs to be great. I don't find a single thing wrong with any of them. If you don't like my opinion, well... That's just too bad.
