I'm not a frequent visitor to this section because I'm a girly drinker...you know, frozen strawberry daquiris and margaritas... cocktail.gif

BUT my husband's birthday is coming up and I'm going to give him a basket with some new beers to try. He likes the substantial German kind, though anything witha buzz to it is fine with him...

Any suggestions???

you could get him a "beers around the world" package too. you can find them at the specialty shops or if you live near a WHOLE FOODS MARKET

yeah, Spaten's good. Spaten Optimator is better.

In my opinion, there is no better beer than Maredsous. It's not German, but Belgian.
