You'll have 3 plus hours to sweat it off smile.gif

Proper buzz management is key, if you partake at all...as you know, Rush will give you the best natural buzz anyway. 2.gif

I believe the last time the Rush played Joe Louis, I was there in the nosebleeds for the Hold Your Fire tour in 1988.
I was too high up to get a balloon sad.gif

My parents wouldn't let me go to that show! sad.gif My friend brought me back a balloon though. 653.gif

I have seen them EVERY show in Detroit since.... and some in Toronto, and Vegas (baby!) and Cincinatti! 1022.gif

DTE sells out consistently every time they come around. I loved going up there for R30 even though I got lost that first time, and S&A was awesome as well. Just looking around and seeing all the people digging the music was a cool thing, and I plan to be there at the Joe.

The Joe *is* a good place to catch a concert, as I saw Nickelback there, and caught a Red Wings game 8 rows up from the ice. Though I am certain they could sell out the Palace.

I can't afford to pay attention let alone get to Detroit, I'm hoping to at least be able to go to Orlando or Jacksonville. If tickets go on sale at the end of January I might be screwed, I'm on commission only right now, and the real estate market sucks as you might know. I might have to go back to waiting tables or managing a restaurant at night soon. By the way you looked stunning in the photo from the wine bar in Chicago!!!

It was in the late 90s, I'll have to ask the wife, she might recall.

Looks like the presale for the Joe is on Tuesday, January 22 through Musictoday, just like last year. Those were great seats. $99.50 and 77.50 each. Our daughter who wanted so badly to go last year is begging again this year. We think we'll buy her a ticket and try it this time; the show is right around her birthday. We're actually taking her to see Bret Michaels at the casino up here in March, so if she can't get through that, we'll have an extra ticket for the show in June.

Can't wait to see the boys at work again! 1022.gif

Hopefully the preshow party will be somewhere where we can bring the little one with us.

I wonder where A good place in detroit is a good place to meet before the show........

I wish they'd play DTE-but oh well......

Maybe somewhere in GreekTown, the only safe place I know if Detroit? How about Fishbone's or Pizza Papalis?

Got my tickets through the presale this morning. Sec 120, Row 18, seats 3, 4 & 5. The concert is exactly a week before our daughter's 10th birthday, and we're surprising her with her first Rush concert. She wanted to go so bad last year. We're going to take her to see Bret Michaels & Firehouse up here at the casino in March, and if she can make it through that show, then we'll take her to Rush.

If not, I'll have an extra ticket for sale.

That's awesome! Over the past few tours I've had the chance to meet a number of youngsters at Rush shows with their parents for their first ever Rush concert - and I'll tell you... I don't think there is a worthy word for the looks on their faces soaking up the Rush experience for the first time!
