I gotta fully and completely agree with what Ken the Masked Drummer says. it was an awesome show, and IMO Rush is really sounding better that they ever have (both musicianship and mix quality). It helps the PA was good & clean from where we sat. It was even more AWESOME meeting so many cool RUsh heads! I've never been to Rush with "strangers" before -- yet it was like we all had so much in common from the get-go. All of you who could make it up to Kenny's pad were really neat -- I mean, total strangers coming up to some strangers unknown abode in downtown Detroit... lots of good trust going on in this fine group. Next time I bet Ken will even have furniture! As far as the group pic & concert pics I took, I'll post them for all once I get back to a PC Thursday or Friday. what an amazing night of making kewl new friends, incridble music, and an inspiring atmosphere. A special thanks to Geddy's Mullet for helping me & Ken get seats together, and thus making this such an awesome time! ...did I mention everyone and everything was AWESOME! Peace out all! The vibe of the whole night was way up there. It was amazing that Rush was so on, being a back to back show. Thanks for the hugs. I can't wait for the next event. I hope to meet more of y'all. The whole night was truly magical, one of the best of my entire life. I'm not used to going in to a stranger's house and having everyone welcome me like, shall we say, a "long awaited friend!" It was super-special and I'll remember it FOREVER. Thanks to TMD for hosting the meet-up and to the rest of you for being so darned wonderful! fans are the best! Gig pics coming soon! A couple friends were at the Rush concert in Philly Saturday - they txt's and called (Red Barchetta on a cell phone just isn't the same)... and they had an AWESOME time just like us! One guy said "It was great, even considering they're usually great. The band was really, really tight, Neil's solo was a 10-minute fireworks show that was impressive even for him." WOW...
