iluvgeddy05
List what your favorite bar or bars are, the place where everyone knows your name (or close to it) -- even if no one on TRF will recognize it: Mine are The Fargo (aurora, NY) and The Fountain (albany, NY)
rushbass
I used to love to call "The Gold Rush" in Nashville, TN my second home back in 1991-1992... it is still there, but has certainly changed over the years... ---- "Gators" on the beach in Gulfport, MS back in 1993 Also, "Orangutangs" on the beach in Gulfport, MS back in 1993 - 1996 Neither of these exist anymore... there is still a club named Orangutangs, but it is far from the original... memories... steelcaressed
Wet. As in my wet bar. The food is better here, and there is no smoky fug either. I also don't have to wait for a refill on my beverage. Edited November 27, 2007 by steelcaressed

ladirushfan80
hah! back in my old hometown, there was a place i used to frequent called The Wagon Wheel... that was the place where everybody knew me, and as soon as i walked in the door my drink was there waiting for me once i reached my seat. now a days it's where ever. either The Hotel, or Library Pub more often than not. but there are so many different places that i go to that i don't really have a favorite. some i just frequent more than others. Midway Hawker
I don't generally go to bars anymore, but in college there were several cool bars in Downtown Chico CA.. I think my fav was "The Panama". They served lots of exotic Teas there, my fav was the Texas Tea (because it had more booze in it!!)
condemned2bfree
Any wetherspoon pub in the u.k. Because they sell over 600 ales brands (real ale too) throughout the country and they mostly have a cosy warm atmosphere inside. http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/food-and-dr...tCategory=14934]

Hatchetaxe&saw
In West Cork, Moloney's, Nolan's, Dinty's or The Boatman's Inn. all great. The Murphy's and Guinness is stellar. In Galway, Roisin Dubh for gigs, Murphy's or Freeney's for Guinness.
third hand grace
I enjoy Quigley's in Naperville, and Moe Joe's in Plainfield. My favorite name for a bar (no clue whether ther's a REAL one though) is the Dew Drop Inn (in a CDB song). In Chicago, there is a bar called Irish Eyes, and if your lucky you can see Whitey O'Day sing dirty Irish limericks- that is always fun :-)
