Personally, I don't get why 1 CD would cost $28.35. There seems to be a mistake somewhere in their description. 2nd Edit (1/18/05): Apparently, the release date has been pushed back to "Tuesday, March 22, 2005" "Chronicles Rush Regular Price: $36.09 Sale Price: $28.35 Availability: Pre-Order Now! NeilPeartFan2112
I guess. What else could it be? Wouldn't surprise me with all of the Rush Remasters they have been releasing lately.
Moonraker
I thought that the material on Chronicles was already remastered, are there going to be any different tracks on it or is it just a rerelease.
BB&B
QUOTE (Moonraker @ Dec 28 2004, 03:30 PM)I thought that the material on Chronicles was already remastered, are there going to be any different tracks on it or is it just a rerelease. I am not 100% sure, but I don't think the tracks on the 1990 Chronicles CD were remastered. I am sure somebody on here will let us know if the tracks on the 1990 Chronicles CD were remastered or not. I think the first set of remastered tracks came out in 1997 for Retrospective I. Edited December 28, 2004 by BB&B

PuppetKing2112
Here's an idea: Instead of releasing a repackaging of a greatest-hits CD from 15 years ago, how about releasing a box set of live recordings like we've waited for for so long... NeilPeartFan2112
QUOTE (PuppetKing2112 @ Dec 29 2004, 03:44 PM) Here's an idea: Instead of releasing a repackaging of a greatest-hits CD from 15 years ago, how about releasing a box set of live recordings like we've waited for for so long... That would be so much better. Something that we have never heard before. Cheers to that Puppetking!

BB&B
Since the detailed description has "Orig Year 1990" and "Discs 3", I would think that the 1990 Chronicles 2 disk set will be included with a DVD. But, the question is: What is the DVD? Is it just the "Chronicles" DVD? Or is it a different DVD?

John Bush (Jack here): Wouldn't it have been great if they'd have released 'Chronicles II'? Or even a new DVD with the videos that aren't on the first one? I really love Rush, and I am a fan for life, but some of the marketing that they do just really irritates me. Also, I'm really impatient for them to release all of their unreleased stuff. They could at least put 'ESL', 'P/G', and 'ASOH' on DVD Even if they were bare-bones 'performance only' discs, I'd still buy them! I'm almost tempted to call for a boycott of this thing, but my undying fandom is getting in the way. I won't buy it, but if you want to then knock yourself out.
BB&B
QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Feb 18 2005, 02:19 PM)All Music Guide In 2002, Mercury released the Rush DVD/CD set Chronicles/Moving Pictures, which combined the DVD Chronicles: The Video Collection (1990, originally released on Mercury) with the CD Moving Pictures (1981, also originally released on Mercury). John Bush This is what puzzles me. Rush Chronicles: The DVD Collection was not originally released in 1990, it was originally released in 2001. If they had said Rush Chronicles: The Video Collection (VHS), then that was released in 1990.

treeduck
I did buy a copy of Chronicles recently because I never owned it before. And I was in a RUSH mood, so a snapped a fat boy cd version with the 1990 mastering. I then changed the fat boy case for a slimline case and now it's looking fantastic!
