Well, there's your problem. They have a lot of good stuff, sayin'? If all anyone ever heard of RUSH was the radio fodder that wouldn't give tehma very good sample either. We'll fix you up next time we meet.

The first thing you do to introduce Led Zeppelin to someone is have them watch "The Song Remains the same" a few times. When I was about 10 years old my brother took me to the indoor movies and watched this show and it was almost like being at a concert, many people would go see this every couple weeks just for the party. I love Zep, although Rush is my favorite band, I think Zep is the greatest band of all time. If that makes sense to anyone. No Quarter, Rain song and Celebration Day is some great live stuff. Not to mention, Rush was influenced by Zeppelin back in the day.

 

P.S. I can't believe no one mentioned "Since I been lovin you". That's some great blues playing there, man, that's a great tune, I'm gonna play it now. http://www.therushforum.net/html/emoticons/1022.gif

I'm not voting....How on earth do you choose just one from all these??

 

I can honestly say I don't have a favourite song that stands out above all the others.

 

I notice that just about every song is there. Might have been a better idea to look at the results of the polls for individual albums and take say the best 2 or 3 off each album and post them.

 

Ones that stand out for me (and I only went half way down the list)

Try to pick a favorite. sheesh! It's torturous.

 

 

Ghost Girl, like Rush, there are a LOT of good Zepp songs that don't get air play. But if you're ever able to round up a copy of their first, I highly recommend that you give it a listen. Even if the hubby doesn't have one, GO AND GET ONE. Hell, I'll buy you one. You and I seem to have a lot in common, taste-wise, and I'm bettin you will love this song, well, album. Wait till you're alone and you can crank it up and really listen. You will not be sorry.

I normally don't spend much time listening to the "hits" but lately I can't get enough of Limelight!!

 

oh, and the best Zeppelin tune? it's on the first album. doesn't matter which, just pick any one.
