Alice In Chains announced a tour this morning. Since they sold out last year, and pretty early, I wasted no time buying tickets for the July show.

Also planning on Black Sabbath in September

Got a goal to see 3+ shows this year, since my lifetime total (no local bands) is six.

I just found out that my classes were on Tuesdays, not Mondays. So that likely means....

Black Sabbath 8/29, Toronto ON

Time out your trip well. The traffic in Toronto is terrible and if you're not sure where exactly you're going that only makes it worse. But the molson amphitheater is easy to find. Good concert venue, i've seen Rush and Cooper/Maiden there.

That's where they are playing. I've seen Toronto's traffic before. I was planning on finishing my classes at noon, then heading straight to Toronto. It'll be a 3 hour trip so I figure I'll make it, even if I'm coming close to rush hour

Paul McCartney in July, but that's just about it for concerts for me if Rush isn't touring again, which I hope is not the case.

Got (decent) Zac Brown tickets for Hershey towards the end of July...probably the only country artist I can stand! (guys more alternative/hard rock than country, though) This will be number three seeing him! Check out his new album...tune called Junkyard pulls some Pink Floyd out in the middle of it...I almost wrecked my car the first time I heard it!

So that's Chicago April 6th, Dream Theater April 22nd, Project Object April 30th, and Zac Brown July 23rd. Not a bad list so far!

Project Object cancelled...bummer! No explanation other than they need to reschedule probably for the fall....

Ok...we can add PAUL McCARTNEY to the list on July 19th in Hershey! And I just saw that Toto is coming to Lancaster in August! (and not as an opening act!)

DT this Friday...

Now I can add ARW! Going to see them at the Keswick in October! (and I also saw that Yes is coming to Lancaster in July...only hesitating on that because I'm not a huge fan of the line up...and Alan White has seen better days...but they're doing two parts of "Tales" and Howe and Downes are playing great...tough call...

Just saw two super expensive shows, David Gilmour at RCMH, and Pearl Jam at MSG. Both incredible .

Looking forward to Paul McCartney July 12 in Philly. Later that month Alice in Chains and Cracker in August.

Gilmour was awesome, caught the Radio City show, unique vibe for a rock show. Almost entire orchestra sat during both sets.

Seats there were incredibly comfortable, like sitting in a well cushioned recliner.

Could feel music, bass and drums vibrating from shoulders to knees from the seat!

Busy summer for me this year!

Dead and Company - 6/16 at Riverbend Music Center

Willie Nelson and The Family - 6/22 at The Rose Music Center

Brit Floyd - 7/27 at The Rose Music Center

The Atomic Punks - 8/4 at Fraze Pavilion

Get the Led Out - 8/25 at Fraze Pavilion

I've already seen Black Sabbath earlier this year in Detroit, so I'm not going to truck over to Indianapolis to see them. I saw my first Grateful Dead shows last year in Chicago, so Dead and Company would technically be my fourth! Really excited to see Brit Floyd again. I've seen them twice and both times blew my mind. Hopes are pretty high for Atomic Punks and Get the Led Out. Tribute bands can be hit or miss, but most of the ones that come to this area are great.

Ok...broke down and got a ticket to the Yes show as well... They're doing the whole Drama album, and sides 1 & 4 of Tales from Topographic Oceans...Could be an interesting show....

So I now have Paul McCartney July 19, Zac Brown July 23rd, and Yes July 25th...then Toto August 29th, and ARW on October 15th! Not a bad year!
