That's what I got here. Water straight from the ground! We used to have the hard water with all the minerals and orange residue in it but we got a water softener and now it's clean tasting and doesnt discolour the bathtub anymore smile.gif I much prefer this ground water over the nasty chlorinated flourinated city water from those treatment plants 062802puke_prv.gif

yup. i'm on a well too.

i have been for most of my life.

whenever i go to someone's house who has "city water" i can always smell the chlorine. very pungent.

i usually drink my well water filtered thru the frig. it's not bad. we also have bottled around for road trippin' and stuff.

Nothing beats fresh pond water...

new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

"You got a pool over there?"

"Yeah, we have a pool and a pond. Pond would be good for you...."

"Cannonball! Cannonball comin'..."

Ball goes into water.

"Where'd the ball go?"

"Right in the lumber yard"

Water is like the best thing in the world! In the past week I have increased my intake of water and already I notice a change in my health quality. Also it's great for cleansing the body of all the bad stuff. Also probably one of the best appetite suppressants I have ever used. laugh.gif

Your own body turns sugar into water!!! How may you ask?

Glucose (sugar) -----via hexokinase-----> Glucose-6-phosphate

Glucose-6-phosphate ----- via Phosphoglucoisomerase-----> Fructose-6-phosphate

Fructose-6-phosphate -----via Phosphofructokinase-----> Fructose-1,6-bisphosphate

Fructose-1,6-bisphosphate -----via Aldolase-----> Dihydroxyacetone Phosphate + Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate

Dihydroxyacetone Phosphate <----------> Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate

(2x) Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate ----->via Triose Phosphate Dehydrogenase-----> (2x) 1,3-Bisphosphoglycerate + (4x) NADH

(2x) 1,3-Bisphosphoglycerate ----->via Phosphoclycerokinase-----> (2x) 3-Phosphoglycerate

(2x) 3-Phosphoglycerate ----->via Phosphoglyceromutase-----> (2x) 2-Phosphoglycerate

(2x) 2-Phosphoglycerate ----->via Enolase -----> (2x) Phosphoenolpyruvate + 4 H2O!!! smile.gif

(2x) Phosphoenolpyruvate ----->via Pyruvate Kinase -----> (2x) Pyruvate

(2x) Pyruvate + (2x) Coenzyme A -----> (2x) Acetyl CoA

(2x) Acetyl CoA -----> (2x) Citrate

(2x) Citrate -----> (2x) Isocitrate + 2 H2O!!! smile.gif

(2x) Isocitrate -----> (2x) a-Ketoglutarate + (2x) NADH

(2x) a-Ketoglutarate -----> (2x) Succinyl CoA + (2x) NADH

(2x) Succinyl CoA -----> (2x) Succinate

(2x) Succinate -----> (2x) Fumarate + (2x) FADH2

(2x) Fumarate -----> (2x) Malate - 2 H2O!!! sad.gif

(2x) Malate -----> (2x) Oxaloacetate + (2x) NADH

Totals so far

H2O = 4

NADH = 10

FADH2 = 2

(assuming your body has excess H+ atoms on hand)

(10x) NADH -----via electron transport chain-----> 10x H20!!! smile.gif

(2x) NADH -----via electron transport chain-----> 2x H20!!! smile.gif

Total H20 made from 1 molecule of sugar = 16 H20's biggrin.gif

i never used to like water. i found it tasteless. then i had water with chocolate, i mean, aftr i ate chocolate- and i found that i could eat MORE chocolate. so i tried it with other things. if you have water after a bite of chocolate, your mouth is less gooey with all the chocolate! so you can eat faster too! wow! water is amazing. spit6ph.gif everyone drink water!! oh and is it only in england where the tap water tastes like a swimming pool? or is it everywhere?

How about a bottle of this to go with some water?

Used to buy bottled water, then once I realized how much I was wasting in money and material I bought a filter for the faucet. Then, after could no longer buy replacement filters switched to a different filter and it broke within a month. Have been drinking straight tap water for well over 5 years now.

Switched from a plastic water bottle to a stainless steel a year or two back once found out about BPA. One of the best investments I've made because it's far more durable than the plastic ones too.

I prefer room temp or tap water temp water over very cold or very hot. Only downside to the stainless bottle is that it warms up very quickly. But, it also cools the water quicker too.

That goal of 8 glasses of water per day just got a whole lot easier to attain! yes.gif

BTW, I love your avatar. I think I have 3 of the pics nailed down:

Christian Bale (American Psycho)

Heath Ledger (Dark Knight)

Jack Nicholson (Shining)

Dennis Hopper? (movie?)

Don't know the 5th one at all.

And oh yeah...Go YANKS!!! (I grew up in The Bronx).
