Dread Pirate Robert
QUOTE (double bass chick @ Apr 17 2007, 09:01 PM) Water is the best drink!! Our body is made of 66% water. We need 2 to 3 quarts a day for maximum health. On the rocks is best! Just don't pay money to drink bottled water. The bottled water industry is one of the biggest frauds of all time. TwoOneOneTwo
I like water on the rocks with a wedge of orange. Lime is good, too. I used to be a diet Coke addict. Now I drink water or unsweetened iced tea. I especially love the latter.
Garden Dancer
Just replaced the filter cartridge for our water. Man, that thing lasted for freakin' EVER! New Wave Enviro filter, or something like that... We've been getting the replacements from the same place for ages, and our friend at the shop knows what one we need. It's nice having a close relationship with little shop owners like that... We had to get a filter. Years back, I was cracking ice cubes from a tray and saw BROWN STUFF in the cubes! When we replaced the cartridge... It was just scary! New one has lots of white old one, all the white places were a nasty shade of DARK brown!!! *eeeewwwwwwwwwwwww!* Filtered tastes nice. Unfiltered, around here, tastes like chlorine and has a metallic aftertaste, and a little "sour"-ish. I hate to imagine what all is in our unfiltered water... (that's why we got a filter for our shower, as well!)

-D-RocK-
It's good to be living near one of the cleanest, freshest most abundant sources of water on the planet. Well, except for the 300,000 metric tonnes of arsenic trioxide that is being stored in an old mine nearby.

ProfGumby
QUOTE (Grapes_under_pressure @ Jun 10 2007, 07:35 AM) i never used to like water. i found it tasteless. then i had water with chocolate, i mean, aftr i ate chocolate- and i found that i could eat MORE chocolate. so i tried it with other things. if you have water after a bite of chocolate, your mouth is less gooey with all the chocolate! so you can eat faster too! wow! water is amazing. everyone drink water!! oh and is it only in england where the tap water tastes like a swimming pool? or is it everywhere? Here we have what I like to call crunchy brown eatin water! Okay, so I stole that phrase from Al Bundy... But the tap water here is most foul! The well water is worse as there is so much iron and mineral content in the well water. A few miles away, the municipality there has radium(I think) in their water and warns people not to drink it! Curiously enough, this area has a very large, disproportionate amount of Kidney patients per capita....think it's the water? I buy bottled and drink that! I do drink tap water back home in Milwaukee, but not here. Edited January 1, 2009 by ProfGumby
southernjim
QUOTE (Drumnut @ Jun 24 2007, 11:28 PM) These days, we are all spoiled with bottled, flavored, vitamin enriched, fitness waters. When was the last time anyone tried a glass of fresh pumped well water? Yes, I do mean good old fashioned wated pumped from a hole in the ground. I actually had some a few days ago. yay! Tarkus406
That's what I got here. Water straight from the ground! We used to have the hard water with all the minerals and orange residue in it but we got a water softener and now it's clean tasting and doesnt discolour the bathtub anymore I much prefer this ground water over the nasty chlorinated flourinated city water from those treatment plants

Tick
I dig Vitamon Water. I also drink alot of filtered water from my fridge. My tap water has too much clorine in it. It best drank when filtered through a purel. Edited January 21, 2009 by tick
