GhostGirl Posted July 30, 2007 Share Posted July 30, 2007 OMG, I was SO tired last night....delays and more delays in Dallas, but I finally got home about 1:00 a.m. I have some cool pics to share, but I have to go get the kiddies from grandma's, so I'll get them up here later. I had the MOST amazing time...meeting SullySue and sundog was so special, and they are just as wonderful as I had pictured them to be. It was great to see Rolinda again, too! Much love to my NWW sisters. Special thanks to Midway Hawker and his pal for keeping me company Thursday night. And 1001 and CygnusX-1bk2 for staying up till 4 with me. I cannot SLEEP in Vegas! I met SO many wonderful folks, but I have to say that some of the BEST times were with the TRF folks...the Friday night dinner was spectacular! Thanks to pedro it was a huge success...I know we've got a group pic of that someplace: me, pedro, Cyg, Digi, sunny, Midway, Rolinda, and Sully - thank you all for making my vacation so amazing. Rushman14 Posted July 30, 2007 Share Posted July 30, 2007 I finally arrived at the Apple Bar at 10pm for the friday night meetup. Right when I walked in a very loud band started. It was kind of hard to talk with the noise but I got to meet some very cool TRF folks. I chatted a bit with Midway who I met at the Bowl and Irvine. I think he's stalking me because he always seems to be sitting right behind me . Then I met Digital Man at the bar who commented on my VT shirt. Then I got to meet the legendary Ghost Girl who introduced me to Pedro (where's the sombrero?) and then got a chance to talk to 100100, Sullysue, Sundog, cygnusx1 and Rolinda Bonz, who bought me a cinammon martini I met some CP folks as well. It was really nice to meet everyone and put faces with the names. A great group of people and I was happy to be part of it! ....and then there was Saturday night.... I guarantee that you got more sleep than me in Vegas. In those four days I got about five hours sleep TOTAL, and those five hours came on the last two nights. What an Unexpected Disaster. BTW, they caught the 20year old Cop killer & his girlfriend accomplice in some near by apartments Saturday morning. I talked with one of the Ushers during Intermission & she had Never heard of RUSH, She was impressed with the Crowd, she said over & over how Everyone seemed to be going nuts. I do have tons of pics coming, but as GG said, it's late and there are important things to attend to. (like we have to work in the morning and we will be getting up at approx the same time we have been getting to bed the last few nights) I do have to say, it was an absolute pleasure to meet everyone. I had a wonderful time. Vegas baby is definitely the highlight of my meetup experiences thus far. (with the exception of meeting Digi for the first time in really real life) I wish you all could have been there. It was way more fun with everyone than it ever could have been alone. I learned a few valuable lessons this weekend: NEVER fly to Vegas on stand-by. American Airlines has perfected the art of torture. I'm not a regular on this board but it was nice to meet some of you who I have met before and meet some new ones. Cool to see Sullysue again who I had just met months ago at a Dallas party. Sometimes there just doesn't seem enough time to get to know everyone. I was all so fast and so much to do and see in Las Vegas.. I FINALLY got back to Birmingham, and before I went out on the tarmac and kissed the ground, the flight attendant said: "We know you have many choices when it comes to choosing an airline, and we hope that the next time you travel you'll choose American Airlines!"
