I was supposed to run today...I got interrupted by work stuff, so now I feel like a slug.

I ran today for track. It sucked. I've never ran in so much wind in my life.

Back from running...best day yet. bncegrn.gif

Yesterday marked the very first time I actually, literally ENJOYED running.  I never thought I would, really. I expected to just endure it with gritted teeth.

So, a bonus!  biggrin.gif

I hoped to lose some weight with the running, but that wasn't my primary goal.

However, I weigh on Fridays, and as of this morning, I've lost 16 pounds.

Yesterday I had a personal record in the mile. I ran a 5:33 mile for a freshman track meet. I took 4th. I also ran the 800 and took 3rd.

I'm training for my 8th marathon. Today I did an 18 mile training run at a sub 8 minute mile. Not too bad for 39 eh? tongue.gif

I started off with mostly walking, mixed with a minute of running here and there. That was in early February.  I've been steadily increasing the running/decreasing the walking until now I'm running just over 2 miles at a time.

At first I hated it, but I'm finally beginning to enjoy it.  Good luck! smile.gif
