I went to music school as a Sax player but I was also learning guitar at the time. Guitar turned out to be much more fun for me so 16 years after leaving music school I consider myself strictly a guitar player. I've dabbled in brass, drums, and bass too but just for fun.

I can play the piano, although I don't own one right now. And I'm just learning to play acoustic guitar...a little bit. Like this [....] much. laugh.gif

But I can play the beginning of WYWH (sort of) and some of "The Larger Bowl." biggrin.gif

I took piano lessons as a kid for about 7 years. I quit when I was 13 thinking it wasn't a cool instrument (boy was I wrong and stupid...been regretting it ever since). So, I picked up my mom's acoustic and taught myself a few chords. I've since learned to play several tunes, but I wouldn't consider myself all that good. I'm pretty much just a hack...

I can play Stairway... tongue.gif

Same for me, although my piano lessons only lasted 3 years and I actually didn't quit... I had a teacher who came to my house for lessons and he retired after having major heart troubles. Since then, I just kind of stopped playing, and I'm also regretting it. I mean, I do play the drums, been playing for about 4 years now, and I believe it's the best instrument for me, but I really wish I could be a multi-instrumentalist. I've only retained very little on the keyboard, I only know a few little melodies here and there, and I can play the first two little sections in Bach's "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor". biggrin.gif

Drums. Electronic only for now though since I live in an apartment.

How is a electronic set like?

I certainly love mine. Check them out.

I've got the Roland TD-3 as a practice kit and I love it. The Yamaha's are very nice too. In fact, I'm packing mine up and using it in my band's hotel room in vegas next week to practice/record for the "american band" competition.

We're setting up a compound with a 48-track Mac G5 Pro Tools rig, and using Pods and headphone amps so we can play all night during the competition.

For live shows I implement a TD-8 module with triggers and pads. Watch american band for the first couple shows. Maybe they'll bring the cam into our hotel room to check out our setup?
