I now know what your sigs are, I found them last night, watched the most recent LOTR movie. Quite good if I do say so myself. I think my favorite little elf dude (donno what they were called) is Pippin. He was a mischievious cutie. And I was a little sad when Gollum got it. I liked him, he was 'my precious' laugh.gif

I also watched the newest Harry Potter. I love that movie series, is it as good as the books??? Are the LOTR and Harry Potter recommended reading???

Definitely worth reading. LOTR is great, I've read it a few times.

The Harry Potter books are really good. They're easy to read as they were written for kids, but they're written well enough for adults to enjoy as well. I can't wait for the 6th one.

Definitely.

For the record (left to right) you have Alyson Hannigan, Cate Blanchett and Sara McLeod

Lol, so thats who she is on the left. I couldnt pic it out for the life of me, the hair is in the face too much. I'm quite suprised though, I've never seen her or thought of her as doing any such slightly clothed pictures.

The only reason I read the first Harry Potter book was because my niece (who was 12 at the time) made me promise to do so. I took the book home and opened up to page 1. Four hours later the book was finished, and I was driving to my sister's house the next day to borrow 2-4 (5 wasn't written yet and the first movie was yet to be released).

Anyway - my wife and I are hooked on both the book and the movie series. AGP, you MUST read the books - they go into so much deeper detail than the movie can allow.

I'm going to start reading the books again with my kids as a 'learn to read' thing.

Edited (once again) for my horrible tying. Not for content.

Yeah, the Harry Potter books are a great read, much better than the movies. As for LOTR, well... read it. read it. read it....

LOTR 1 was the first book I read in English... after reading the trilogy in French, of course. Nowadays I never read translated books (except when the author is Umberto Eco or someone non-French/English)

I love the way Harry Potter books are so connected...J. K. is a classical scholar, and her books are very well researched. All the little details, like names and other associations, are meaningful, and each book has clues to what is coming up...
