The first one I bought was the one that I first heard songs from; the one that contained "Tom Sawyer," the song that got me into Rush. Moving Pictures.

Hard to remember that far back... the first Rush album I owned was given to me - it was 2112...

The first album I actually bought was Permanent Waves, I believe...

Then Hemispheres...

Then I bought the rest of the catalog in chronological order, starting with 2.gif

That got me through Signals (it was 1982)...

Every album since then has been purchased on the release date.

The first Rush album I bought was Permanent Waves.

I kept hearing The Spirit of Radio, Freewill and Entre Nous on WLS in Chicago, and it inspired me to buy the album.

It wasn't too long after buying PWaves that I heard 2112 on 8-track. And when Moving Pictures was released, I immediately bought it.

I hadn't really even heard of Rush till MP. A friend who also never heard of them before played it for me after someone else had turned them on to it. The next one I bought was PeW and then backward chronologically and bought every album since if not on the exact release date, close to it.

I can't answer, because when I finally got a job that paid real money (and of course I quit it three months later like an idiot), when I got my first paycheck I went to Crazy Eddie and bought Hemispheres, Permanent Waves, Moving Pictures, Exit: Stage Left, and Signals all at the same time....

Though I think I physically picked up either Hemispheres or Moving Pictures first, though.

2112, I didn't know who rush was at the time, and I thought I might give It a try, and I loved the album (besides Something for nothing)

Moving Pictures.

Yep. Another fan who owes at least part of her conversion to Tom Sawyer.

Friend used to thrash MP and then I was glued to the Exit Stage Left vid for a long time, then eventually got around to getting MP!! I mustve sat on that for ages, and heard a few more, but not until the remasters I went totally ballistic for owning. Good enough excuse.
