But I'm such a geek that when she pulls one from the rack I actually analyze the color, design, etc. and tell her up front what I don't like about it. I don't get too excited in there because I'm not really thinking 'panties'. I'm thinking 'shopping'. It's funny because I'm always THE ONLY guy in those shops/sections of the department store (a guy in Japan would never get caught shopping for panties with his gf/wife...yah, i know they're dumb asses). rayzray Posted August 15, 2006 Share Posted August 15, 2006 i like VS;; i went in there with an empty purple long-stem vase and asked them to show me some neglagies (sp).. i bought a purple one (sexy);; and asked them to put it in the vase.. they balked but after explaining that i hate wrapping and boxes and prefer to put my presents in unusual conatiners.. i brought a wine bottle cork with me too and we left the shoulder strap hanging out and caulked it.. to this day;; ten years later;; she has this vase on the little table next to da bed.. the outfit died a normal death;; the vase lives on forever..!! late edit;; i hope you realize the neglegie (sp) was for my wife and NOT me (rayzray)..!! I'm not super skinny or super pretty but I am in no means mad at the magazine or their models for being that way. They are trying simply to make their product look as attractive as possible. I like what they sell even though I've never had enough money to buy lingerie there. (I stick with Target and WalMart for panties) I always like to stop by and see what they are selling though. The models are professional models; that's all they do. If one's livelihood comes from modeling underwear, one can probably find a way to get skinney. Personally, the twigs-with-fake-boobs look is not attractive to me, probably just because it's so commonplace in press that it's boring now, but all I'm thinking about is how the stuff will look on my girlfriend. They get the pieces that were custom made to fit them exactly (sometimes even stitched on just before the photo-shoot...) But then the pitures are streched this way, squashed that way, air brushed here, "enhanced" there, eyes brightened and widened, necks elongated, and any microscopice "flaw" is made to magicaly vanish! Hell, with that kind of trickery, even I could be a model! NOT! My image getting that kind of treatment? No thanks. I'll keep my curves, thank you!
