you overdub your face behind a NP drum set and tell people that have never heard of rush you own these drums

you play witch hunt backwards  in hopes to decode a secret message out of the chanting part

You get in the car and say "Its my turn to drive"

You ask people if they have an uncle who has a country place which noone knows about

You know you're a Rush fan when:

1. You have to listen to them more and more and go out and get all their
    albums and DVD's.

2. You want to listen to the bands and musicians who have influenced
    them
.

3. You buy any magazine that has them mentioned in it, however so
    small.

4. You become interested in checking out books by Ernest Hemingway,
    F. Scott Fitzgerald, John Dos Passos and others.

5. You watch The Twilight Zone.

6. You take an interest in Buddy Rich and Big Band Music!

11. You go to Canada to see Lakeside Park, Massey Hall, the Laurentian
      Mountains and Le Studio.

13. You line-up for tickets at least 12 hours before Rush tickets go on
      sale.

14. After buying a new Rush album, you go home and immediately and
listen to it with headphones on while reading the lyrics.

15. You keep all the Rush t-shirts, tour programs and ticket stubs no
      matter how old they are.

16. You buy all solo albums and side projects by Alex, Geddy and Neil.

17. You are inspired to learn to play guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, or
sing even if you never previously have in your life.

18. You can sing to and know the lyrics to every Rush song.

19. You can air drum any of Neil's drum fills.

laugh.gif  laugh.gif  You have described  me in every one of these! I guess I am a real Rush fan after all  biggrin.gif

You find yourself in a dark, gloomy church and realise you're dressed up like Geddy Lee, round shades, false nose, etc and you look around and so are the 50 other people in the room and as they turn to you they all begin to chant "ALL THE SAME WE TAKE ARE CHANCES, LAUGHED AT BY TIME!!! TRICKED BY CIRCUMSTANCES!!" As they continue, you look up on the wall at a sign that says "The Church of Weinrib" above a greek-style statue of Geddy Lee...and you realise you've been a member of "the order" for 35 years...

You know you're a Rush fan when you record snippets of songs as WAV files and use them as the default sounds on your computer.

(When I minimize windows, Geddy sings, "Put him down as arrogant" and when I bring the window back up, he sings "Growing up," and then I go into a Subdivisions spiel. I love my recorder...)

The bit from 2112 - "We have assumed control..." would be a great Windows start-up sound, wouldn't it?

Well, when the computer pops up an error message, it says "Attention all planets of the Solar Federation." It scares me every single time! My Windows startup is the opening of Mission. new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif
