Your First Car

I was going to post this pic in the "That 70's Thread", but I think this topic deserves a thread of it's own.

My first car when I got my license in '80, it was my Dad's, he bought a new car and gave me this one.

My first car looked SOMETHING like this. I know I have the make and model and color right, but I'm not sure about the year. Anyway, it's close enough:

We got a 1974 Volkswagen bug that same year which I inherited when I turned 16 and got my license.

this pic is the closest I could find. Our car had a black bumper and the car's color was more red/orange.

Don't get any better than this. To this day, the first and best car I've owned. Mine was a darker blue with a thick silver stripe along each side.

Soooo many memories of friends, girls, loud music... hell yeah.

Edit: I just realized I never said what the car is. laugh.gif

'72 Buick Skylark (nicknamed "Sky-Tor")

Looked exactly like the one in the picture above, except an uglier rust/brownish color and far more decrepit. It lasted me a little under a year. By the time I sold it, whenever it rained I would get a free bath thanks to the cancerous rust on the roof, and I had to put it in park every time I came to a stop sign or it would stall. I sold it for $100. laugh.gif

Actually, that wasn't my first car.

THIS was my first car.

I wanted a Lamborghini, but Mom and Dad wouldn't go for it. So I settled for a stupid old Ferarri Testarosa
