Had my usual coffee and Bailey's earlier today. Tried tea and Bailey's on St. Patty's, and while not as bad as I thought it might be, just isn't the same as coffee.

Had Fuze green tea at Subway and later refilled with a half Diet Coke/half Dr. Pepper drink.

I'm not drinking one right this minute (I'm still at work), but what I've been into for the past year is Sidecars, an old-fashioned cocktail.  Screw the beer and shots that young people have been drinking for the past 50 years.  Our parents had it right: it's all about the cocktails, baby!  They're more suave.  Viva cocktail culture!!

Traditional 'Sidecar':
2 oz. Cognac (or just plain brandy, for the economically challenged)
1 oz. Cointreau (or just Triple Sec, for the economically challenged)
1 oz. Fresh lemon juice (not from a squeezy bottle; the real thing)
(You may put sugar on the rim, and/or garnish with an orange slice)

Exciting variation I've been drinking lately:
'Blood Orange Sidecar':
Ingredients are the same, but substitute the fresh juice of one whole blood orange for the lemon juice.

So yummy, you'll want to drink a few... and you'll be on your ass.  As Esquire magazine's expert says:
QUOTE
The Sidecar is often singled out as the only good cocktail to come out of the long national nightmare that was Prohibition. And when you're sipping one, you almost think it was all worth it. The luminous, golden-straw color, the perfectly controlled sweetness, the jazzy high notes of the citrus against the steady bass of the brandy. This is a drink whose suavité is beyond question -- it's the Warren Beatty of modern mixology. It's so easy, in fact, to be seduced by this clever old roué that a word of caution would not be out of place here. These gents have a way of stealing up on you and -- bimmo! Next thing you know it's 8:43 on Monday morning and you're sitting in the backseat of a taxi idling in front of your place of employ. In your skivvies.

It's from Poland. I'm sure you can get it in St.Louis. It's gotta be "export ale" though. The other versions are not as good.  trink39.gif

Just had a small ($1.50) cup of Coffee Bean regular coffee at some cafe booth at college.  Almost got a Dr. Pepper from a vending machine but you know how they usually are against non mint condition dollar bills. laugh.gif banghead.gif

Gingerbread Spice herbal tea. Been having a massive allergy attack all day that's threatening to go all 'sinus infection' on me if I'm not careful, so I'm making sure to hydrate.
