The resurrection of Kula Shaker

Kula Shaker are back with an iTunes only ep which should be the precursor to a new album later this year.

In the ninties they released two albums - K and Peasants, Pigs and Astronauts before crawling so far up their own collective arse they imploded.

They're still headed by Crispian Mills (son of actress Hayley, grandson of Sir John), and are still obsessed with Eastern mythology and philosophy. They had a tendancy to go totally over the top, but some of their 90s work was sheer magic, Tattva and Govinda to name but two.

I saw them live around '97 in Dublin, and impressed the indie kids when they debuted a "new" song in the encore. It was only a cover of 'Hush' (the Deep Purple interpretation). They're all scratching their heads listening to this 'new' song, I'm the old man singing along with every word!!!.

The new ep is good, and they've been added to the T In The Park line up, which suggests they'll be added to Oxegen shortly. Happy days!!!.
