Ken Watanabe as Ra's Al Ghul (any Bat-fans out there who can give us some info on this guy? I know he's a Batman baddie, but that's it. Also, the proper pronunciation of the name would be of help, too!):

Linus Roache as Dr. Thomas Wayne (Batman's dad):

Ra's Al Ghul is a character who's first appearence was in 1971 in a Batman comic. His name translated is Arabic for "The Demon's Head", which is appropriate, for he is probably Batman's most diablolical and intelligent foe. His age is unknown although he is suggested to have been born sometime in the middle ages, regenerating himself in the Lazarus Pit, giving him new life. Ironicly, he see's Batman as the only person suitable to marry his daughter, Talia, and become his heir, even though Batman is determined to stop him forever.

In the movie, there is no Talia, and Ra's is head of the League of Shadows (as in the comics). There is also no Lazarus Pit (since they are trying to give the movie a more in-depth to reality). There's also an interesting twist to the movie (which I won't reveal, because some people might not want to be spoiled). If you want to know, drop me a PM and I'll gladly tell you, as well as give you a link to the first draft of the script (proven to be accurate by many sources and fan accounts).

Finally, Ra's Al Ghul is pronounced Raash Al Goul.

Here's a little goody I saw a little while ago and I figured it was worth sharing. It's a drawing of what the Scarecrow's mask looks like. It's said to be pretty legit, being as the guy who drew it also drew the preview drawing of what Batman's suit looked like, and that was accurate. I won't show it on here so that people who don't want to see it won't be spoiled, so click here to see it.
