Alsgalpal
I have the song, but was wondering why they remixed it, and who did it. I like it, but I am sure not a lot of people do. Any info on the song?
madra sneachta
AGP, if you're referring to the version on the "Small Soldiers" soundtrack, it's remixed by DJ Z-Trip. Personally, I like it a lot.
barney_rebel
There is also a rap group called "Young Black Teenegers" that sampled the opening keyboards and guitar for a rap song. It was the last one off the album. The Young Black Teenagers were all white too, for the record.

barney_rebel
Only thing about the song is that the brilliant drumming of Mr. Peart is ripped out. Other than that, the song is pretty cool in its own right...

Pags
QUOTE (madra sneachta @ Oct 27 2004, 01:57 AM) AGP, if you're referring to the version on the "Small Soldiers" soundtrack, it's remixed by DJ Z-Trip. Personally, I like it a lot. Yes Madra and APG - I was thinking about the same mix. I think it's awesome. I remember reading in a Geddy article where he was asked about his opinion of the mix. He said he loved it. The only thing that pissed him off was to hear that angry fans were calling into radio stations demanding they stop playing it. barney_rebel
Fans also called into the stations and demanded they edit out the rap in RTB... and some stations did. Pathetic. "shattered the illusion of integrity" - Rush

tangy
Yeah, that remix is kinda cool. Somewhere I have a remixed Animate too. I addition to the remix I have versions of Tom Sawyer by Alex Skolnick trio- instrumental jazz Bad Plus Beastie Boys-Mix Master Mike- live remix The Breakfast- live Of the above I think the Alex Skolnick Trio is the best. However my all time favorite rush cover is La Villa... by Greg Howe.
