Dallas: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Robert Luketic is in negotiations to direct the big-screen version of the hit TV show "Dallas" for Regency Enterprises. Michael Costigan and the TV series' creator David Jacobs are producing, with Peter Cramer overseeing for Regency.

Robert Harling, whose credits include 1989's Steel Magnolias, wrote the screenplay. The long-running primetime soap about a wealthy Texas oil family originally ran on CBS from 1978-91. "Dallas" joins such TV titles as Charlie's Angels, I Spy and the upcoming Dukes of Hazzard and Bewitched in getting big-screen makeovers.
