Excellent quick poll.

I need to quickly listen to Edward's guitar on FUKK and Jason's on Ain't Enough.

As the Terminator used to say...

"I'll be back......."

Eddie's guitar tone will always be my favorite however on F.U.C.K. I don't really care for the production.

Jason's guitar production is much better in comparison to these two albums.

Yeah I like F.U.C.K. but the production is very tinny and flat and boxy-sounding, and it's an issue throughout the album.

ROTH > HAGAR
Hagar thinks that because he plays guitar he has the edge over Dave.

Sammy has a better singing voice, but Dave's got swagger.

Very true Pat.  I feel the same way about F.U.C.K.  Production sucks.

Hahaha!  That's a joke.  I'll take Dave playing acoustic guitar on "Ice Cream Man" over Sammy playing on anything Van Hagar crap.

I do love Sammy's Montrose work.  His Capital Records catalog.  Oh and I do love every record he has on GEFFEN up to VOA!!

After that?  CRAPGAR

Of course the Sammy crap is winning here.

The Van Hagar Fans outweigh the real Van Halen Fans here on this site.  Always have, always will.
We used to have some fun arguments about real Van Halen vs the Van Hagar crap.
The good old days.

I still listen to Dogtown Shuffle and Drop in the Bucket, It`s Showtime! They`re on my current playlist. Can`t risk listening to F.U.C.K in case I hear any part of Spanked. "Call me up on the spankline" :spitwater:

I think the Van Halen fans on here back Eddie over Roth and that's the true deciding factor. Sammy is just a bystander.

Earl I'm listening to the POLICE now, can you think of many rock drummers that can match Copeland?

Also it's obvious that when RUSH heard the Police they decided to totally rip off their sound from about 1982 onwards.

Eddie and Dave > Eddie and Sammy, Dave > Sam. It`s simple, whatever Dave`s on brings the best out of Ed.

Yeah but my point is as long as it's Eddie on one side and Roth on the other, a lot of VH fans will always back Eddie come what may.

I get it, I know some people here think that and lots on VHND did too. I love Eddie more than any other musician but it`s nuts to say anything after 1986 was as good as `78-84.
