I love nearly all these remaining tracks, so I eagerly choose Subdivisions.

At last I feel I can vote again. I love these all dearly. Three of them are in my top 5. Two are not. Of the two that are not, Subdidvisions is probably a hair lower than La Villa.

Xanadu is the bottom track for me. The 5 minute intro is brilliant, but the balance of the song not so much.

See this is the thing about Rush, maybe other bands if they have a good body of work, but even though my mind says eliminate Subdivisions, my heart says 'Hang on a minute, you always sing along to it and love listening to it so do you really think it's below the others?'

They are all great pieces/songs/whatever but if I was nit-picking then I could identify moments of weakness in them all. And whenever I condemn a Rush song, I listen again and have to reassess, wondering to myself if I really do rate it lower than x or y.

But sod it, the answer to the Cygnus question is that the mind wins - Subdivisions to be eliminated even though the heart is putting doubts in my mind...

Subdivisions might be next for me, save for the very important fact that it's the first Rush song I memorized.

 

So I chose to eliminate 2112. There are several epics I like more.

 

Of the 5 left only Natural Science and Xanadu are my favorites off their respective albums

I am glad that Subdivisions is leading the charge to be eliminated, but that should have happened much sooner.
