I keep voting to immunize Marathon, even though I would have eliminated it long ago.

 

But that really great rock song by one of the bands Alex and Geddy used to be in is still around for some reason.

Wow, it seems I came back just in time to have to vote on a list of songs I couldn't bear parting with. Nope, not one of these would I vote against.

 

I suppose later on I may be able to vote, I do kind of view these in a couple of tiers: absolute complete all time favorites, and just good old favorites. When there's only one of those good old favorites left and a bunch of all timers I think I'll be able to vote off, say By Tor, in favor of 2112, Xanadu, or Natural Science.

Red Barchetta is the worst song on Moving Pictures, Marathon is in a fight for worst on Power Windows, and Working Man, although best on the debut, is still lb the debut.

That seems . . . wrong. Well, not "Red Barchetta," time to park that one, but "Working Man"? I know Mosher says it's a different band, but Rush sure played the heck out of it for forty years.

 

As much as I love Power Windows, "Marathon" was not my choice and I will accept its termination whenever the hive-mind says it's got to go.
