Get the nonsensical chorus outta here! Pitchforks to Between Sun & Moon

Ah, yes to yes, to ah, to yes

Why is it still in?

Why is it still in?

Stick It Out is by far the worst song on this album. Frankly it's the chorus that I hate.

Between Sun and Moon is based on the poem, which is more clear about the meaning. For me, it's the best song on here, a celebration of creativity.

I like most of this album, though.

It's not the other lyrics of the song I mind. Those are, in typical Neil fashion, good and thought provoking. It's just the chorus. I guess I just don't expect a Rush chorus to have so little to say.

In the poem it's basically the same thing, with the words "self esteem" added.

It's not that I like the poem specifically- it's that I think Neil did and the band captured the feel of the poem. I actually find Neil's reworking of the poem better than Pye's original, though I'm sure the music is why.

But I get having a song ruined by an idea that doesn't work. That's why I can't stand "Stick It Out."
