goose
If you haven't seen this documentary, you need to. It speaks to what makes Bill Murray such an intriguingly likeable figure. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAkp0h4ktf0

IbanezJem
Lost in Translation is my favourite English language film, so definitely that, and I`m a big Jim Jarmusch fan and Bill is great in Broken Flowers. A bit of Ghostbusters action is never a bad thing either, at the other end of the scale.
driventotheedge
I suppose you start with Groundhog Day.....no wait, Caddyshack......no wait, What About Bob?..........no wait, Ghostbusters..........no wait,.......... Dude has been so good in so many flicks. One of my favorites.St. Vincent is under appreciated.
Fordgalaxy
There are so many great movies he's in. I think Quick Change is underappreciated and I'm a huge fan of Wes Anderson so all those appearances are good to great with my favorite being Rushmore. Even as just a voice in Fantastic Mr. Fox was great.
Entre_Perpetuo
It happened! Bill Murray films I've seen and loved: GhostbustersGhostbusters IIGroundhog DayThe Life AquaticFantastic Mr. FoxScrooged That's a shorter list than I thought it was, but I don't watch a lot of movies. What else should I see from him?
Nova Carmina
Glad to see Quick Change and St. Vincent given some attention; those are really good (although you've got to give Quick Change a chance to grow on you). CaddyshackStripesGhostbustersScrooged I just watched the end of The Monuments Men on tv this week, I'd kind of forgotten he was in that, but he was doing his usual good work. He seems to be one of those guys who's always "Bill Murray," if you know what I mean. I don't mean he's not a good actor, it's that he doesn't really seem to be "ACTING" (in the Jon Lovitz sense) in too many things. I have not seen the Apple TV+ thing he did (On the Rocks, thank you, Google), but I have good intentions. It's not just so you can wear these little outfits?" Some classic lines delivered by Bill playing Jeff (Michael Dorsey's roommate) in Tootsie. Inspired casting choice. And of course there's Charles Durning's (playing Les) line, "Bulls are bulls, and roosters don't try to lay eggs!" Not that I would ever drop that line into a conversation. Certainly not. That is one nutty hospital! Love the arguments between Hoffman and Pollack which were realistic since they didn't always see eye to eye creatively in real life. "YOU WERE A TOMATO!A TOMATO DOESN'T HAVE LOGIC!" Also, you can never go wrong with Dabney Coleman in one of his number of comedic douchebag roles like this and 9 To 5. Derek19
I don't have a favorite Bill Murray performance. The movies I've seen him in that I've liked, were funny, and who haven't seen him in, I recommend are: "Meatballs", "Where the Buffalo Roam", "Caddyshack", "Stripes", "Tootsie", "Ghostbusters", "Ghostbusters II", "Little Shop of Horrors", "Scrooged", "Quick Change", "What About Bob?", "Mad Dog and Glory", "Ed Wood", and "the Monuments Men". So far, I've said some really good movies Bill Murray has been in, and that's it. Edited June 19, 2021 by Derek19

invisible airwave
Mad Dog And Glory is underrated. Love the against type casting of DeNiro as the cop, although he's played some in his career, and Murray as the mobster instead of DeNiro. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdjwAaxRw7k
